After just managing to whack my toe against the arm of my chair (seriously, don't ask) and both screaming of pain and laughing about how silly it happened, a very simple question rose to my mind;

Have you ever been in a situation where you hurt yourself but where you ended up laughing rather than screaming because you yourself realized it happened in such a silly way? And if so, when was it? What happened?

I laughed when I broke my nose, despite not being able to feel the top half of my mouth. does that count?

Going to work right after getting a molar removed. After about 30 minutes of work the anesthesia wore off and it hurt. a lot. that and I was spitting up blood every few minutes.

I recall that was a day I was cutting up dough with a manager and kindah laughing to myself the thought of accidentally spewing blood all over the table. Luckily I got sent home to a bottle of heavy pain killers and chilled out for the rest of the day.

Some friends and I were messing around with a stomp rocket a couple of years ago, and I managed to slam my leg down so hard on the thing that I hurt my knee somehow. Pulled something or threw it out; I have no idea.Anyway, I fall over on the ground, clutching my leg, writhing in pain, and one of my friends comes over and says,
"Well, at least you got the best distance so far."

I couldn't stop laughing. And my knee still bugs me sometimes today.

Well today my friend challenged me to a mercy fight, after about a second my wrist bent in a weird way and made a loud cracking noise. I'm pretty sure it's sprained and it hurts like a ***** any time I move it but at the time I was just laughing cause it was so ridiculous.

Oh, yeah, lots of times. I'll run into something I've never run into, or run into repeatedly and laugh at what a dumbass I am.

EDIT: Cool, I just rolled over to 2200 posts.

I got part of my finger caught in a fan when I was trying to fix it when my brother turned it on. When he first turned it on, blood shot all over the room and the tip of my finger was torn open and I was gushing blood down my arm. I pulled it out and started laughing loud and manically I scared the shit out of my brother and his friends. After a ride to the hospital and 7 stitches later, I returned to normal.
