Sexual content bothers her? And you're 14? Man, I lost my virginity at 13. What is the deal with some of these parents? I'll never understand why sex is worse than violence in their eyes.

Anyway, no. There is no objectionable content. Just some moaning and censored nudity.

I once managed to convince my parents that a game was rated 18+ because of the difficulty. Not sure if that'll work with Saints Row 2 though...
Thats pretty legendary.

I love being tall having a deap voice and facial hair at the age of 15.
I am short but have facial hair at 20 and still get carded everytime. I swear they be discriminating against us short people.
I get carded EVERYWHERE, I went to see Friday the 13th and the guy asked for my I.D. then looked at my 17 year old friend (I'm 19) and said Oh, are you with him? Go on through.

ON TOPIC: Seriously, ask an older friend or a friend's sibling buy it for you. Or go to a store that doesnt ID customers.

And Just FYI, The ESRB guidelines are just that, guidelines. The only reason stores won't sell outside the age rating is store policy to preserve their Image. It's not illegal in any way.

I could always prove that a given game wasn't bad by making a report about how it got it's rating from media scandals, unrealistic expectations, user generated content, and and the importance of context in a each games situation. usually along with links and references. Of course, I never tried something as bad as SR2, it's pretty brazen.

I once just started to explain to my mom how GTA isn't as bad as it's often made out to be (I wasn't even trying to get it, it just came up in conversation) She practically burst at the seams before cutting me off.

I'm sorry but you're not allowed to buy that game you're under 18 I know this is a tool thing to say but if gamers are trying to break the stereotype that we destroy the minds of little kids then we need to make these rules more strict.

Honestly, you're mom is kind of a ***** if the reason she won't let you get it is because of sexual Content.
You're a teenager, teenagers masturbate and look at sexual pictures very often, she shouldn't try to shield you from things that are natraul [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_6ItxioUco&feature=channel_page].
And if she should object to anything, it's the fact that the game encourages you to kill cops and things along that line.

Theres some drug content and you can throw old ladies off of buildings.
So.. no, nothing objectional in Saints Row 2.
Wrong.

Wrong.

Are we forgetting the sex minigame in SR2? How about the Escort missions where you drive around a car while people have sex in it, hearing everything inside?

If that's not sexual content I don't know what they're looking for unless they think it's a porno, and it's definetly worse than GTA. So yes, there is objectional content.

Do the Jack Thompsons and the crazy parents of the world care if it's illegal? No. They just want to ruin video games for everyone.
Do we care what jack thompson and the crazy parents of the world think, as long as it's not illegal?

Sorry, I get what you mean, I just wanted to clarify it's not technically illegal.

lmao.

I will never understand why it's ok to shoot people in the face, but having sex -a natural act- is frowned upon worse in American media.

It's because killing people is so obviously wrong that only people with severe mental illness or in extreme circumstances will do it regardless, while sex is expected, but the fine line of moderation is hard to define.

Basically, with sex, it's see how close you can get to doing a wrong thing, while with violence it's not tolerated in any amount IRL.

Listen mate, while I'm against adults having to put up with not being able to buy adult games because of the classification, that DOES NOT mean that you, a 14 year old, should be allowed to play these games.

First off, the game was never intended for kids, and does indeed feature a lot of sexual references, drug use and excessive violence.

Secondly, the game has a classification for a reason, because kids you're age shouldn't be playing it, and while you could argue that you're already jaded to such things and more mature, that doesn't matter in the eyes of the law.

Sorry kiddo, give it a couple more years and I'll have no problem with you playing it. But frankly, I hated SR2, so go play something like Ratchet and Clank 1/2/3. They're a lot more fun and PG rated.

Essentially, GTA4 is worse.

Although I will say that if you plan on playing it on PC - don't. Unless you have a gamepad.
