Has anyone every tried this? There isn't much info on the web from what I can find but I've been curious. I currently have a Saranac 146xt old town canoe and have been on many river and lake trips. While a sea touring kayak is on my wish list, I was curious if a canoe can hold it's own on calm water in salt water bays. I'm located on the south shore of Massachusetts.
*Also would I be better off with a inflatable kayak or raft or would the wind just thrust me out to sea with ease?
