Fans should never make anything...as quoted by ZP...it can only end badly
Most of the time that may be true. I like ZP as much as anyone but he can be wrong. Peter Jackson and and the rest of the LotR crew are fans of Tolkien and that set of movies turned out extremely well. I however hold no hope for the hobbit 1 and 2. :(

In short I will give a WoW movie from Sam a shot

How the hell do you make a movie off an online game? Oh wait, nevermind.
I know Halo isn't exactly online only, but neither was Warcraft.
But as long as this never happens to a paladin or anyone else again:

I won't throw you out a window.

I can't wait for the part in the movie where the protagonist gets ganked by some wandering asshole while in the middle of a monologue.

I assume they mean 'World of Warcraft' movie because that's what the average person associates Warcraft with, and that future movies would be branded as WoW anyway. It wouldn't make any sense to start after the plot of Warcraft 3
Oh for fuck's sake, it's the Warcraft universe, not the World of Warcraft universe. That's the issue people are having with the name. The only reason people are calling the movie World of Warcraft is because they're, how do you say, ignorant.
This. Also, the title of the movie is just Warcraft, so people should call it that, instead. :)

It's true that people know WoW more then the Warcraft RTS, but this is about all the happenings in Azeroth, so it'd be logical to go with Warcraft. There's many directions this thing can go. Between one of the three RTSs, the start of like Darnausses, Inbetween the burning crusde, etc etc, so yea. They'd probably go with Warcraft, but alot of people are gonna put World of infront of it, since well, it is the World of Warcraft, cept not the MMO if that made sense ;D
But OT:
I can agree with him. Once you really get a understanding of everything, it's really amazing. The movie shouldn't be a total flop, since well, the director has more of a deeper understanding of the dynamics of Warcraft. Alot of the Video Game movies woulda probably been atleast 10X better if the people devolping it had a better understanding of the game n stuff. Not to say it won't flop, but I have high hopes.

Oh. Dear. God. No.

Sam, I love you and you are an amazing director. Spiderman 1 and 2 and Evil Dead are all great movies. I even liked Drag Me To Hell.

But no, Sam. Please no.

Why call it a 'world of warcraft' movie? Just call it a 'warcraft' movie! Base it off of the storyline from the first two games. It's enough. You don't need to dive into the universe that is WoW. It's already too huge, you'd never be able to make a movie off of that.
Right, seeing as how you didn't get shouted at by Mods...

Is he high???

Oh sweet mother of God.... and any other deities anyone here cares to mention.

Man... that paycheck must have been huge, huh, Sam?

Ugh... and to think that Blizzard were recruiting near where I work too.....

I know a lot of people enjoy the game, and all... I just don't see the point of it myself.

Good grief.
And those muppets at New Line had the gall to turn down Peter Jackson for a Halo movie....
