I have 1.3TB free on my gaming hard drive, more spread over my system, yet I'm limited to 10 save slots. I wish to murder puppies.

I'm normally not a big proponent of "console fans ruined gaming", but this is one area (along with interfaces designed for gamepads rather then the mouse) that console developers need own up to their faults. If a save is < 1MB and you've limited me, and not given me decent options (such as mass delete, multi select, drop and drag, etc. that have been part of file managers since the freaking 80s in MS DOS!), I wish to kick kittens.

That is all.

What say you?

What game is this so that I may buy 10 copies, grind them into dust, then make the producer snort it all up!

...Wow, vicious terror in here. O_O

Then again, I use two or three slots for any game, so the limit never bothers me.

limited save slots should of been a thing of the past after saves were no longer kept on the cartage.

Even worse is the game that doesn't let you save at all. Dead Island saves at checkpoints only, even on the PC :/

Having save slots to keep things organized is fine. There's no need to make the player sort out the filesystem in the middle of the game. Putting some arbitrary limit on them is absurd. Just tell me how much space they take up and and how much I have way down on the bottom and let me make up my own mind.

So many of the games I play have profile save systems as a carry over from consoles. That means "continue" and "Start the game over and delete your current save, even if you just want to show the game to a friend from the beginning" are your only two options. It turns out, according to my friend, if you have multiple accounts on your PC, each will have unique save slots. In other words, I don't have to start my games over every time I want to show it to some one who has never played it.
