[HEADING=3]Let's go back in time to the offices of the big publishing companies to hear the boardroom pitches of some of the greatest games of all time.[/HEADING][br][hr]
[HEADING=2]The Concept[/HEADING]
You are a fledgling game developer who has traveled back in time to steal a current game idea so that you can be the one to create the next big game. You are sitting in front of the executives of one of the biggest publishing company and it's your job to convince them of an idea that you know works. We, the Escapist forum goers, have to guess the game you're talking about from the description, so be accurate, descriptive, but try not to give everything away.
[HEADING=2]The Rules[/HEADING]
Be sure to snip-quote the original pitch post with the guess so that the guess gets back to the poster. Once the poster says the guess is correct, the first person to guess (and properly quote) the game is then charged with making the next pitch.
Example of Proper Answer Quote:
Okay, so my idea is you have this game that takes place in the afterlife, in which the afterlife is a place you actually have to make your way to after you die... like you're not just put there, but it's like a journey. The better you are in life, the more help you receive on this journey. You play a sort of afterlife travel agent who's in a lot of debt and is in danger of getting fired because he keeps getting all the bad clients who must make the afterlife journey all on their own and decides to steal one of the good "easy" clients from a coworker who has a ticket for the afterlife-train that the really good people get to take.
After lots of discovery you learn of a conspiratorial plot from the heads of the afterlife travel company he works for with a crime boss from the underworld that is stealing and selling the tickets for the "good people train" to all the bad people for a ridiculous price rather than giving them to those who are deserving. You journey to stop this sinister plot and restore the justice to the afterlife travel system...
... oh, and everyone's Mexican.

- - Describe everything through mechanics and story concept
- No Proper Nouns (i.e. character names, city names, titles, etc.)
- No Company/Developer/Artist Names (i.e. "We'll have Uematsu do the music/Toriyama do the art," etc.)
- No Console Names (i.e. "for the 360/NES/PS2 etc.")
- Describe in detail but don't give everything away, it's a challenge afterall
