I've been listening to the Springsteen album 'Born to Run' a lot recently, and am now addicted to the sax solo in Jungleland. Can't imagine the song without it. I don't listen to jazz before some people get on my case about how superior Charlie Parker is to Clarence Clemons.

Just curious what other members might say their favourite saxaphone solo in a song is?

<color=white>Also a thinly veiled opportunity for me to get recommendations for my new obsession, outside the usual suspects google comes up with.

"Don't Answer Me" by The Alan Parsons Project is the only song with a saxophone solo I know of and I love it and the solo.

I have no idea what song it was, but I was at a gig in London once, and suddenly, out of nowhere, the singer grabbed a saxophone from backstage and did an incredible solo. This was your otherwise average "blokes with guitars" band in your average pub. What a night.

Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty
That song actually ends up annoying me. Great sax solo but theres too much of a contrast between the wailing sax and the sedate remainder of the song.

The solo from "Tank!" by The Seatbelts.

(the opening theme to Cowboy Bebop, btw...find a full recording of it.)
