Oh boy! Another "I hate EA, Activision and [insert major publisher here],except Valve ofc."...I haven't seen one of these threads in a while. I, and a few others who are lurking on this site, get it...they like to make money out of the titles they publish...god forbid a company might do that. It's not like i'm defending them or anything, they do have a history of rushing their products while drooling over the thought of another major injection of money, but still...again with the "OMG EVIL CORPORATION!" discussions?

Also...we all know most of the people who have commented will sell out and buy their newest title when it comes out...
The point of the thread is to hear something positive for a change. And for the record bitching about the people who ***** is just as bad. Haters are going to hate. Hell I have been one of them many times. I just wanted to see some compliments for a change.

When I bought ME3 got the pre-order bonus even though I didn't pre-order it, and I got it even though I was a few bucks short ^^. But screw EA, that was because of the nicest Gamestop employee EVAH!

Uhm, I think EA is funny. Also their logo is pretty.

They've published a lot of in-house good games. Also they publish physical copies of Valve's games. And I like the logo that is different for every game.

They did actually put out Mirror's Edge, I'll give them credit for that. I won't give them credit for their reluctance and cowardice to put out a sequel to this wonderful game and instead keep pumping out boring, samey shooters.

I love a lot of the companies they own and I don't think they are a terrible company.

You misunderstood my comment...i don't mind that someone bitches about something, I mind the fact that a fair amount of people constantly ***** about this particular subject and won't stfu about it. 2 Days don't pass without someone making a thread about this company or that company and then saying that it sucks in some way. And if by some fortunate accident someone doesn't start a thread like that, we'll its probably because they're too busy commenting on a more popular thread in which the discussion is about a company that sucks.

My personal opinion is that this thread is mostly just another run of the mill EA bitching fest with a different facade. A.I. "Let's try to find something nice to say about EA!...Oh wait...i cant find anything nice to say because i dont like them...they suck."

Also..."Haters are going to hate." ...The crow calls the raven black?

I am quite happy they go out of their way to put gay / lesbian relationships into their games no matter how many mean spirited radicals who have the option to ignore it yell about it. Good on them. Oh, I'm still VERY bitter about the ME3 ending but they get major brownie points by not ignoring my minority. Being bi sexual it makes it even more fun as I enjoy seeing whatever kind of relationship my character gets in.

Except for Anders. Fuck that guy!

Fair enough I see your point. And yes more than a few of the comments are just people bitching. But it was not my intention. I really did want to see if we could all say some nice things for a change.

The Chuck Yeager game for the c64 was pretty good.
AND they published M.U.L.E. on the c64 [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M.U.L.E.] which was awesome. Come to think of it, the theme song to M.U.L.E. would be an excellent ringtone...

Actually, we can thank Microsoft for funding the first game.

EA only bought the rights after it was succesfull.
The buyout happened in Oct 2007, the game was released Nov 2007.

Hmm... Well, EA do publish games Activision wouldn't dare to (Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, etc), so I'll give them that.

But Origin? Nope, never gonna like it.

The first game was still published by Microsoft, though. Rather thank EA for porting Mass Effect to the PC as well as publishing its sequels on PS3 and PC.

I really have no strong opinion on EA. It's a company, it's producing a lot of games and that's about it. They and their various studios are responsible for some truly great games as well as a lot of mediocre and shitty ones... but that's pretty much the same for all big game companies.

Instead of complaining about EA all day, I rather go and buy their good games while avoiding the bad ones or the titles I'm just not interested in.

That is nice actually now that I think of it.

I personally liked the Medal of Honor reboot and it's more authentic (read authentic, not realistic) and toned down approach to the modern war shooter and found it thoroughly enjoyable as a piece of entertainment.

I also liked how they gave free maps out for buying Bad Company 2 new or buying an online pass, rather than just taxing £8 to play online if you bought it used.

I don't really hate EA, I just wish they were less stupid these days.
