Final Fantasy XIII had some of the most beautiful hallways ever rendered on a console.
That's one of the finest examples of 'damned by faint praise' that I've read in a long time.

I thank you.

On topic:

Nice about hate - Though much, much more ready to show their mortality than the Atreides protagonists, Dune did have some interesting characters.

Bad about love - Mirror's Edge was very short with little immediate replay value.

I love The Legend of Korra but the romance subplot felt kind of forced. I get that romance is hard to do, especially with teenagers. One wrong move and the whole thing just becomes obnoxious. Are they good characters on their own? In this case yes. Are they good together? Erm... maybe kinda sort of? I just wasn't really feeling it. Also, Korra suddenly getting her bending back kind of pissed me off. That could have been a good portion of season 2, but nope. They decided to take away her powers then give them back to her in the same episode. So much for character progression... Oh well. Still looking forward to Season 2.
That was because it was planned for ONE season. Then midway during production, it got expanded to a few more. They obviously weren't going to scrap everything and do it again, so we got what we got.

OT: The thing I absolutely hate about Persona 4 is that one wrong move on the wrong day at the wrong time can totally ruin your 100% playthrough. Just ONE!

What I loved about Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2, like what MovieBob said, it had Dakota Fanning being ripped apart and eaten by wolves. Yay!
Ah, that is a very good point there. I almost forgot that it was originally going to be one season. But still, I'm curious as to how the story would have played out if Korra was powerless for a much longer period of time. Maybe have her lose her bending in the second to last episode, then in the season finale she gets her powers back. For me, characters are most interesting when they are at their most vulnerable.

I seriously need to get that game.

Haven't seen it, (and probably never will) but that part does sound pretty awesome!

Hate/Love: The Simpsons' version of the Harlem Shake is funny/tolerable.

Love/Hate: Sonic needs to 'disappear' for a few years until they can create a great Platform game.

Bad things about things I love:
Nerd/Gaming culture: You can probably guess. That people in this community actively try and push people like me out, all the while accusing us of trying to take something away from them. Hah. That me speaking out is sooo annoying for them who would rather stick their head in the sand and have nothing change.
And also that there's never a right time to let the people you play with know that you are a girl. I want to increase the visibility of female gamers without being called a fucking `attention whore`. Let me know if you figure that one out, cause I'm still working on it.

Games: Why you no let me play as female more often? Also, sort your writing out, you're embarrassing yourself.

Good things about things I hate:

This one is harder, I don't really hate much.

Final Fantasy: It's always been very pretty.

Metal Gear Series: Has very dedicated fans who love it very much.... for some reason.

I love the Assassin's Creed series with a passion, but even I must say that the third one had it's flaws(DESMOND'S BACKPACK KEEPS CLIPPING INTO HIS BACK?! WTF!)
Why did he even need a backpack all the time? Was he carrying post-missions snacks in there to keep his blood sugar up?

The AC series is one for me, too - one of my all-time favourite franchises, but 3 was so dull I struggled to finish it, and have never gone back to do side missions or collectibles, which is rare for me. I normally don't give a shit about 100% completion or even doing a high majority of stuff in games, but I used to love Assassin's Creed so much I'd make an exception.
I always thought it was a back cushion, because he had to lie in the animus for long periods of time. But then why does he need a back cushion if they basically build the chair for him?

Love - Music. It makes you feel like shit, among everything else.

Dislike - I 'unno, Salmon. It's oily fish, and oily fish is good?

Things I love:
mafia city of lost heaven ? gets abit repetitive with its shooting and has way to much driving
S.T.A.L.K.E.R shadow of Chernobyl ? doesn?t allow you to go back after entering the final stage in pripyat. Also its still somewhat buggy .
The adventure game genre ? is often too slow and heavy-handed with its story telling .
Linux ? needs to adopt a universal format . (also X is old and needs to be replaced)
Ghost in the Shell SAC / 2nd GiG ? doesn?t hold up as well as I rememberd , and is not as empowering of women as some people say it is.
Metal - most bands are not half as clever as they think they are
XKCD ? often requires a few Wikipedia pages to understand

Things I Hate
Meme?s - about 3% of them are absolutely brilliant. (also philosoraptor is funny)
Assassin's Creed series - the worlds architecture and overall look/ design is nothing short of astonishing
Alan Wake ? Has some good ideas and is overall very polished
YouTube culture ? I don?t know ?. Gives me something to hate
Evangelion - is actually really good when it?s not trying to be deep
Code Geass ? inspired some really terrific porn

Things I hate: Waterstones. Mostly because of it's monopoly over physical books. Here in the UK, it's pretty much the only major bookshop chain, unless you count bargain books, which pretty much only sells dry history texts, arts and crafts, and childrens/teen books. But that's the thing isn't it? Why has waterstones become the leader of this market? Because they're the only reliable place for this stuff. WH smith's selection just isn't wide enough, and most independent stores are run by little old ladies who only stock older novels, and even then, little in the ways of sci fi, horror, and fantasy. Waterstones reliably offers a pretty good selection, and if there's a particularly popular book, you can practically guarantee they have it in stock.

Hell, the other reason waterstones annoys me is that they seem to take the view that books should rarely ever be discounted, and certainly shouldn't go down in price over time like anything else. And why do they do that? Simply because there's nobody left to properly compete with in their field, can't really blame them for reaping the rewards of their success.

Just sayin'.

Hate: I don't really hate anything (I'm assuming we're just talking about media type stuff here) but I'm not exactly a Jazz fan. Say what you want about their music, but jazz musicians pretty much always look cool as fuck. I think brass instruments up anyone's coolness, somehow.

Love: I love beer, but hate it because hangovers.

Also, I love Hitman games, but hate how in a lot of the missions it is virtually impossible (for my limited abilities at least) to complete an entire mission in just your suit and gloves. Gotta have style, whether you're dropping pianos on people or burying cleavers in them :p

I love Xenoblade Chronicles but oh boy was it hard to find the right person to hand in a quest sometimes...

I hate the Star Wars prequel Trilogy but i'm probably the only person in the world who actually liked Jar Jar Binks. Go on flame me, i still found him funny and in the comic relief spirit of C3P0.

I absolutely loved Walking Dead, then my save got deleted right as I was heading up to what was feeling like a big climax in Episode 4. Still haven't gone back to it yet.

Fullmetal Alchemist is my favourite manga and anime series ever, but I hate Winry Rockbell and Mei Chan because they just seem like bland and superfluous characters that were put in because, in Winry?s case, Arakawa wanted an extra major female character who could double up as a love interest for Edward and, in Mei?s case, she was used as Scar?s ?adorable? morality pet and Alphonse?s fangirl (only thing good about Mei is her alkahestry).

I can?t stand Kristen Stewart?s acting, except in Panic Room because Jodie Foster was in it, and Stewart?s role mainly comprised of being a moody teenager who, for a good part of the film, lay on the floor having a seizure or something because she didn?t have her medicine or whatnot. So she fit the role there, I suppose.

DayZ has the worst community I have ever experienced. They know nothing about Arma II and barely acknowledge its existence. The Steam Hub makes me pretty angry, other than that? Awesome stuff.

I love Dragon's Dogma but the pawns' AI was terrible and the storyline and final boss battle made essentially no sense. Very little about anything regarding how the dragon's magic worked was ever explained, neither was the reason the Arisen is so innately skilled, at least not clearly enough for me to follow.

I love Anime but hate the ecchi fanservice, when they pull that static blurry background shit in fights and have trouble watching many shows because the art is crap in many of them, even very recent ones.

I hate the Twilight series, but after Moviebob's review I agreed to see the final movie with my girlfriend and had a blast. Ridiculous, fast-paced, nonsensical and with a hilariously-played villain I found the last one is so ridiculous and bordering on self-parody that the series ended on a high note. My girlfriend, however, was terrified one of the fan-girls mgiht attack us because I burst out laughing every time a vampire's head was snapped off like it was a piece of broccoli.

I hate drama-based Reality TV in general but have found specific shows that are so bad at pretending to be real that they become entertaining. Couple that with the made-to-hate characters on those shows and they might even make you stop caring that it claims to be reality and just watch it as a work of terrible, terrible fiction.

God of War -- The combat and graphics are great.

Thing I like:

Call of Duty -- It could use a lot of little variety.

Nice words for things I hate -
Anime did give me Pokemon as a child. And it allows for us to see what hairstyles might look like if they were able to defy gravity.

The Westboro Baptist Church is something everyone else can collectively agree on in hating. (Peace brought about through unified hatred. Thanks WBC!)

Bad things about stuff I love -
TT's The Walking Dead...
...did a poor job of making 'take a life' decisions feel important when the outcomes of those decisions are rendered pointless within an episode or two. Pretty much every character died by the end, and the narrative hardly shifts in content when you decide to choose one character over another.

Borderlands 2 had great charm in its humor, but the sheer number of mainstream references became unfunny and then distracting pretty early on.

An ordinary game of baseball is two innings too long.

Captcha needs to stop informing me of Shingles and get some new material.

I don?t like the out-of place supernatural element in the metal gear series, it seems like its trying to hard to have everything in the story and isn?t focused enough on what theme its trying to get across. i would prefer if it stays a mainly a sci-fi social-political commentary about war and the human condition, rather than being about bisexual vampires and telepathic mind fucks (though i admit psycho mantis was badass) its still one of my all-time favourite series, that probably wont change, even if it has a ton of flaws. also the story takes itself a bit too seriously at times, its a pretty silly series with a not so silly message, but i can dig it.

also if that?s not enough of an admission, i love jojo's bizarre adventure, but seasons 2 and 4 are fucking terrible, i don?t care what anybody thinks about them, they suck.

Things I like:

Professor Layton -- AND THE RIDICULOUS PLOT-TWIST. Seriously, some of the ending twist are just so out there.

Assassin's Creed -- The combat could be better

Spec Ops: The Line -- Is Walker immortal? Seriously there were several times he should have died and yet he came out of it just fine. And though I give the game credit for showing that he did get injured, I still call bullshit on some of the things that happened.

Things I dislike:

Twilight -- If I'm being completely honest? Rob Patterson. I'm not sure how I feel about him as an actor (I haven't his other movies ... he was ok in Harry Potter), but I kinda like him as a person. He's hilarious in interviews and it's amusing to see how little fucks he gives about Twilight.

Something about something I hate: The Escapist has a huge and diverse community giving you wide access to the views of people from around the world.

Something about something I love: The Escapist has a huge and diverse community, bringing you into contact with barely literate asshats who promote the view that large swathes of humanity should be shot at dawn simply by existing.

Hmmm... Well, from what I've heard so far, the Call of Duty series has some pretty good music.

Now for Elfen Lied... (Animé version; I'm not sure if this occurrence is any different in the Manga, but I hear the latter half is different.)
Something is seriously wrong with Kotah.

By the end of the series, Lucy is absolutely devastated by what she did eight years ago. She has been haunted by it ever since, right up to the present day. She is sorry for what she did and even felt that because of this, she didn't deserve to be in his care and... Kotah can't even be bothered to forgive her. What a jerk.

Something I Love: Legend of Mana can get a bit repetitive seeing as how battles will always be exactly the same in the exact same place and reset when you re-enter a room. It can get a bit annoying after so many playthroughs

Something I Hate: The Big Bang Theory has made me crack a smile once or twice throughout the episodes I have been forced to watch while I shop at GameStop.
