I HATE: The PC Gamer "Master Race."
NICENESS: Symbolically I enjoy the idea of someone building their own computer to play video games on.

I LOVE: Effort being exerted by developers to make game play and story a single entity.
BADNESS: When they fuck it up, and its just merged enough so that if you don't like one of them the other is unsalvagable.

Something I hate about something I love
Code Geass: Is awesome...but IT'S SHIT

Something I like about something I hate
Michael Bay's Transformers: I...actually like the designs of the Transformers. I'm not a Transformers fan, so that could be part of it, but I think they look cool.

Something I hate about something I love
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Is awesome...but IT'S SHIT. I'm sensing a pattern here.

Something I like about something I hate
Sword Art Online: I actually had trouble with this, as even though it has excellent music and visuals I despised those aspects anyway, but I thought of something: "Crossing Field", the first opening theme. When I hear those first few notes, I still get goosebumps.

Something I hate about something I love
Steins;Gate: After turning the drama and tragedy up to eleven, it takes three/four episodes to have the main character go on dates with most of the key female characters. Did I mention Steins;Gate is the adaptation of a visual novel?

Something I like about something I hate
Type-Moon: This is a weird one, because I like the Fate series and Kara no Kyoukai. I just despise Type-Moon with no basis whatsoever.

Something I hate about something I love
Yu-Gi-Oh!: IT'S SHIT. See, I didn't include the "it's awesome" bit this time. Because it isn't.

Something I like about something I hate
Elfen Lied: I don't want to say "Lilium", but..."Lilium".

Something I hate about something I love
Bleach: Seriously, for everything I like, the answer boils down to "it sucks" IT'S SHIT

Something I like about something I hate
Metroid Other M: I liked the designs of a couple rooms. I liked three of the songs, too. Yeah, I'm reaching with this one.

I loved Sonic Unleashed's daytime levels. Most of everything else should fuck right off.

And Dark Souls, why so obtuse for beginners? It's harder to get my friends to know what's happening even though they enjoy the gameplay.

Hate:
"Fifty Shades of Grey" is the reason I discovered Jenny Trout, whose books are far superior. Or, if that doesn't count, it's probably been the catalyst for a few people to explore their sexuality more, which is a good thing. Provided they don't use the books as a how-to guide. Look, I'm trying, alright?

Love:
Thorns is not a viable skill in Diablo 2. I wish it was. I really, truly wish it was. But either the monsters take so long to land a hit that it doesn't get a chance to work, or the damage they inflict isn't physical and so it doesn't get returned. It has the potential to be so much fun, too.

Something I hate about something I love:

Grapefruit has a way too annoying peeling that the fruit itself isnt even really worth eating at all.

Something I love about something I hate:

Chocolate is tasty as hell despite the fact that it gives me nausea when I eat it too much.

Something I hate about something I like:

Someone is correct about something, but on the other hand they are being arrogant about it. So unnecessary.

I am not a fan of Dark Souls' multiplayer (lag-stabbing is not cool) but it does have its moments. Mostly when I feel I defeated my enemy by playing to my character's strengths, positioning, and timing.

I love Dark Souls. In fact it is my #1 game of all time. But if there is one thing I wish it had was some kind of achievement tracker, because if I know I'm missing weapons or spells for an achievement I'd rather not have to go through my spell list/ weapons list AND the lists in the strategy guide just to find the ONE spell or weapon that I'm missing. (Yes I am trying to 100% Dark Souls how could you tell?)

Lordi is my favorite band of all time (hey Lordi if you're reading this, get your new album to the States now I've got Lordi blue-balls here) but I concede that they have some misses. I thought that They Only Come Out at Night was pretty good but subsequent listenings have brought up the flaw that it never goes anywhere.

See what I mean? I'm the Best has the same thing happening but can be forgiven by sounding cool.

In light of a recent binge I'm enjoying: Star Wars!!!!

The prequels had an awesome score. John Williams is the only person to walk away with credibility fully intact.

In the same vein, the tribal Ewok music that ended the original trilogy was pretty underwhelming and out of place. I actually prefer the score they added in the special edition.

Grand Theft Auto IV's multiplayer is fun as hell, but dries up (gets boring) really quickly.

Call of Duty feels really grind-y and basically becomes pointless due to prestiging, but can be fun for a while with the right company.

Both entries will refer to My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic.

Positive about something I hate:

I hate "Lesson Zero", but it is a good episode for pose references.
I hate Pinkie Pie, but she's a useful tool when you're writing as she can steer conversations in interesting directions.

Negative about something I like:

I like Discord, but hate the way he was defeated: by giving him the Idiot Ball. Heck, you could have just had him teleport out once he saw the Elements start to be used.
I like Twilight in season 1, but hate her in season 2 (can't comment on season 3). As of "Lesson Zero", she's beyond the Moral Event Horizon. I don't care how much stress she was under, brainwashing is evil.

Agreed. John Williams is a great composer, and I especially love the score for the duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan.

Also agreed. That is one of the few instances where the Special Edition actually fixes a problem in the original.
