I'm not sure if I'm the only one but a scammer has attempted to scam me through the escapist inbox system.
I just thought I should bring this to the attention of the community.

Kill them with fire!

That being said, I appreciate the heads up.

A few people have gotten the same message. Treat it like any other spam: report and move on. In their profile is a report link.

There's been at-least one other thread about someone recieving one of these so you aren't the only one, if you haven't already contact the mod team so they can banhammer the sender all the way down into the basement.

Edit: Got one too now myself, must be revenge for this post 0.o

They're obviously not very bright. I just got another one.

"Wow, that last hour REALLY changed my mind! Of COURSE I'd love to sign myself into bankruptcy so you can be a lying thief instead of getting a job like normal people!"

Idiots. Absolutely no patience for them.

The problem is that 99.9% of the people that recieve a spam message like that can be smart and ignore it and its STILL better pay rate than working. :/

What baffles me even more is how shortsighted and greedy one must be to fall for one of these things X3. "I have 2 million dollar, if you give me 1,000 dollar in shipping fees I will send you 1 million dollar in cash! Good deal!"... Large quantities of free stuff is usually a scam ><.

Yeah I got one of these too. I reported the user, simple as that.
On a side note.
Who the fuck would be stupid enough to fall for these? You don't have to be a competent computer whiz to understand that message is sent from a lying douchebag.

I already brought it to the mods attention but unless that user makes a post we are going to have to wait for a staff member to ban them since the mods can't ban without a post.

Yeah I'm another one of the victims who got the same message. I had just send a message to the Community Manager Nasrin about it (not sure if she is the one who deal with this type of thing) several minutes ago.

As the saying goes: "A cat for a hat, or a hat for a cat, but nothing for nothing."

There are no real shortcuts. Want a million dollars? Fine. Earn it.

Ohh, I had it, too! Apparently someone is dead and I'm going to be a millionaire by the time I E-mail them.

*Sigh* If only...

I don't know about you guys, but this seems like a really genuine deal. It's clear they simply need a foreign bailout for their money trouble and have enlisted the help of the Escapist to take their money for them.

On a sidenote, have you tried working from home? Find out how I made £300,000 last year without ever leaving the house!! Just click on the link below!
Why did you click on this? Why??
[small]Working from home otherwise known as unemployment. May lead to bankruptcy and/or homelessness[/small]

What the heck are those pictures on the side of the screen? Uh..."Ultimate Dungeon Crawler"? What...?

Also: Silly scammers. Don't they know that I'm too stupid to fall for their tricks? I can't believe that they would do something like this on The Escapist! Gods!
