See that door? Wanna know what's behind that door? You don't wanna know what's behind that door. See those bones? Wanna know what made those bones? You don't wanna know what made those bones...

To say nothing of the violin.
Seconded.

I think that episode scarred me for life.

As I first viewed it at an impressionable age, I haven't built up the stomach to watch the part with the violinist girl since.

I'm sorry, but the Harvest Moon episode was the scariest (and best I thought).

"You either grow, or go"

It was that music that played while the head spoke. Creepy.

"Get oooooooooout"

Just that big, white, floating head man. Freaked the fuck out of me as a kid.

As an adult, I find Doc Gerbil's world to be the scariest, though.
god damnit, fuck you, now I'm going to have that fucking face stuck in my head all night.

OT: Not sure which was "scariest", most of courage's reactions usually made me laugh enough to shrug off the scary parts, but the fred one and this:

HOW THE HELL IS THAT Y7 AND A CHILDRENS SHOW?!?

I can't believe that no one's said
a single thing of Dear old Fred.
Perhaps you thought that he was dead,
but he's been very,
naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuughty.

I've always had a very, very dark sense of humor. Almost everything in Courage had me laughing, even the "you're not perfect" bit. The only thing that had me creeped out in the slightest was "return the slaaaaab" but I got over that rather quickly.

Also, captcha, I have no idea what website I need to go to to find a Toyota dealership in New England. I do not live in New England, nor do I want a Toyota.

I honestly never found any of them scary. Heck, far as I can tell, I need to be directly invested, or at least feel like I am, to have the possibility of being startled. This is why horror games get me, but not some awesome Courage the Cowardly Dog (Show).

So, as a kid, I was able to sit through all that with ease. Don't know how my friends felt.

Instead, I'll tell you that I Loved with a capital L "King Rameses Curse".

Most definitely the Ramses episode, however I'd like to mention the episode with the snowman, and the episodes with the fox.

I think it was the pilot episode with the red eyed chicken and the old man turning into a chicken. Even to this day I cannot watch it as it just freaks me the fuck out.

Probably what OP said and what FirstToStrike said. Those two had to be the freakiest.

King Ramses never scared me, he looked too silly. I can't remember the names of the episodes (haven't watched the show in a while) but the one with the floating head, the one with that chick playing the violin (the one with the giant cockroach) and the 'you're not perfect' fetus terrified me.
Edit: and freaky fred

This episode, whatever it's called.

My friends and I have appropriately dubbed him "The Big Blue Motherf***er".
that blue thing right there? that's Eustace' horn twisted by Courage' imagination....since i found that out it's not really as creepy anymore.

OT: Most of the episodes with Katz weirded me out when i was a kid. also the one where they go down the trying to find the red...dragon...thing, with the psychotic captain taking them. the creepiest one for me was the witch from the black puddle. her just appearing wherever there was a little more than a drop of water was....very creepy to me for some reason.

Honestly I didn't find this show scary, I always assume it was supposed to be funny. However I guess King Ramses Curse is among the creepier episodes, though Katz always makes an episode creepier by default.

The only one that actually made me feel uneasy, and would pop into my mind right as I was about to fall asleep at night would be the floating white face.

Other than that the show never really scared me, it was just a wonderfully kooky show.

Hello new friend my name is Fred, the words you hear are in my head. I say I said my name is Fred and I've been very...naaaaughty.

The freakiest thing about this episode is that it could easily happen in real life.
