Unfortunately, horror games don't scare me because I play them during the day. Since I'm 14, I have to go to bed at 11:00, so I don't really game in the dark.

If I have to choose 5, I'll go with:
1. Zelda: Windwaker, that game scared the sh-- out of me as an 8-year old.
2. Dead Space
3. Aliens vs. Predator 1999
4.RE4
5. Silent Hill

1.Maniac Mansion (NES) For popping my horror game cherry
2.Dead Space Only for the Pop-Ups
3.Resident Evil Raised the Bar
4.Friday the 13th (NES) Don't go into houses and turn 180(!!)
5.White Chamber For execution alone (a free flash game shouldn't be that good)

F.E.A.R - Sitting alone in my room with the lights out for a 10 hour sesssion was nerve wrecking, it stands as my most scary. And for JUMPY moments, id say playing Bioshock for the first time alone in the dark was awsome scary fun. No others really got me TTYTT

Yes it is Walter Sullivan.
Your username is Solid Snake and your avatar is Walter Sullivan...for some reason, that made me giggle uncontrollably...maybe I just need to go to bed soon...

OT:
1. Silent Hill 2
2. Silent Hill Homecoming (mainly for Scarlet, the Doll Boss, than anything else...holy shit, I thought I was gonna wet myself...)
3. Eternal Darkness (in all honesty, I haven't played it in eons, so this may be more nostalgia than anything...but I remember that game scaring the ever-loving crap outta me)
4. Silent Hill 4
5. Resident Evil 4

I haven't really played many other scary games than these...I find most so-called "scary" games to be more about the combat (I'm looking at you, SH Homecoming!!) than the actual scares, and while I'm okay with combat, I much prefer being creeped out than jumped on at every dark corner. I think that's why I love SH2 so much -- you're not *really* expected to kill everything you see, and there's actually a part in the game where you're running past monsters with absolutely no weapons whatsoever...cripes, I thought my heart was gonna asplode!
