Been here for a while. I'm discovering that my sleep cycle is utterly fucked, and even though I'm getting about 5-6 hours of sleep each night, I'm not getting rest from that.
I've not gone a single day without a headache or hallucinating. It's certainly been... interesting.
Got back last week. It remained largely unchanged from last year besides new teachers and new environment. Most of my friends are in my classes, so all in all its all good.
Going to Sixth Form on Friday for an Induction Day. Actually looking forward to it!
EDIT: Would helpy with the matsh but its seems like a lot of effort would be needed :S Just count the guys in the square and work from there. Thats as far as I got :3
College in a while. Couple of months, depending on places.
I tell you, I'm glad to be out, I really am. School was hell, and now it's over! Even if I don't get into college, I'm still not repeating my exams. Fuck that. I have washed my hands of the whole place.
I've been in school for a week now. Also never bother with summer work (if only to spite it). I never did it (I'm a senior now), and now I finally do, and my teacher isn't collecting it.

I'm going back on Saturday. We get a day to settle in, then the tiny third formers arrive. I'll be in my last year, so I should have the insignificant responsibilities piling onto me in a couple of weeks.
As for work... I've had to do loads of hardcore programming over the summer.

I'm going to have teachers bitching at me straight from the get-go (I have a bit of a reputation with being a deliberately terrible student) and apparently now you have to have a 75% to pass any given course in NYS.
I'm probably going to end up dropping out at this rate.
On the other hand, I have to a stupid "Summer Reading Project". I've already butchered the shit out of it and have to hope to God that my English teacher is a cool one

Pt. I
Reflections: This book makes me want to cry. Not because it's sad; but because of the fact that it's so fantastically slow that I'm tempted to just google a plot summary; find all the good bits and write about those rather than read about the main characters' "edgy" secrets and "troubled" past.
Then you add in a pinch of unrealistically patriotic town syndrome; a mentally disconnected father, and some personality traits in the main character that hint you towards his stalker-like nature; and you've got this book. And two ridiculous run-on sentences.
The kid in this book hints towards his "secret" so many times in the first twenty pages alone that you almost want to invent a way to teleport yourself into the book, punch him in the face, and force him to tell you his "secret" (it's almost deliberately obvious that he stalks the chick that he wants to bang). Oh look; another run-on sentence. And some crude attempts at humor to boot!
I have to add some "reflection questions" to this apparently. One has caught my eye; the "Finish this idea!" one.
"Finish this idea! I love the way the author..." Proverbially beats around the proverbial bush. No, that doesn't even come close. It's like he's lightly tapping the ground one thousand miles away from the bush.
"What kind of person is the main character?" He's a self hating creeper who's surrounded by people who also, coincidentally, hate him.
I mean, he was a sort of hero after he saved the chick he wanted to bang from a psychopath; but that was only because he was hardcore stalking her. And then everybody hated him again because his dad doesn't believe in "Support The Troops" bumper magnets.
In the words of just about everybody on the internet: "Cool story, bro..."
Only it's not. It's not a cool story. If I wanted to read a story about some self hating socially awkward teenager who has next to no friends; I'd read my life's story... I mean. What?
Oh yeah; time for some memorable quotes...
"Leah gives me a little hug that sends sparks all along my body and makes me rigid with fear that I'm going to pop a boner right here on stage."
Is that important? No. Is it memorable? Not as much as you would think. Why did I choose it then? Because it was freaking hilarious to find that while looking for important quotes.
And so ends the first part of my summer reading project.
They made it mandatory and worth ten percent of your grade; that being said, I'm not going to take this seriously at all.
I'm going back to Hell School Thursday. I'll have to endure another year of bullshitty Jersey Shore and Call of Duty conversations. I can't wait to see orange people again!

Not meaning to brag, but that really isn't anything. I spent the entire summer going to sleep only as early as 6am, and reaching 9-10am near the end. I would wake up anywhere from 3-5pm. Needless to say, waking up at 6am isn't exactly fun...
If you simply need a quick fix to get back into a decent sleep cycle for school, I suggest staying up 24 hours on Saturday so that you get tired around 9 or 10pm on Sunday. That way, you'll be nice and rested on the first day of school.
