This morning Iwas on my way to work when... well you can probably guess that my work was closed. The snow had built up so heavily over night that many main roads hadn't yet been gritted and the conditions were far too dangerous to go ahead.

So because of this, I got bored and made this thread.

If your school / work place has closed What are you going to do on your days off?

...I'll probably be on steam checking out my new games (recently purchased the Orange Box)...

I am going out for about ten minutes to have a small snowball fight, build a snowman then come back inside and complain about the cold. Then I'll probably sit by the fire and either go on the PC or Xbox.

We didn't get enough snow where I live and I don't think my school or college has ever been closed since I've lived here because of it. The light dusting we had has just frozen over, so it's bloody treacherous to walk anywhere.

Stupid rain washing away the snow :(

I've been out of school for almost 2 years.

Like an endless winter break :D
I envy you...
OT: I'd probally just relax, go for an occasional walk and spend most of my days here or playing games.

Ugh, my winter break just ended.

When I have days off, I usually sleep in and just do nothing.

Ours ended yesterday, we were back at school. But a load of roads have been closed round here in England.

You lucky bugger. I've lived in Winnipeg for my entire life and I don't think I've ever had a snow day. Not even when it was -50C outside and there was over a foot of snow on the ground!

Luckily for me I didn't have a morning lesson at college today, so I woke up in time to find out that all buses in my city had been pulled. I live miles away from my college, so snow day for me ^_^

It's things like this that make me regret living in Canada. The only time I ever got school canceled was when the Ice was thick enough on the roads to make them completely unmanageable, or when the temperature hit -40 C without the windchill. I have yet to have my work canceled despite the weather.

All I can say is I envy you so much

Since I live in Georgia and snow is both extremely rare and never bad enough to make roads extremely dangerous I go to a friends house and have a snowball fight.

If you almost never get snow you love it when you do.

I'm sitting in college right now. (On a break) shame I didn't get a day of. And the best of it is only 5 people out of a 15 people class showed up.

Well it is a holiday at the moment for me. So I will be on the escapist and playing dragon age. I'm not going outside it's bloody ice everywhere. It did snow last night but the ice is still there underneath the snow.
