Shia Labouffoffo (can't spell). He has this uncanny ability to ruin everything.

Okay, so they have Arnie onboard. What is the point of bringing back one of the original stars of the series some 8 years after he left it? The future of this franchise does not lie in the past. All it needs is a really well thought out way of continuing the story. Here's an idea for the next film, Hollywood: kill John Connor, then have someone reprogram a terminator so that it adopts the identity and likeness of John Connor. Not only does this allow you to sign a popular actor to multiple films in the same role, you have also moved the Terminator mythology along in an interesting way. You're very welcome!

And it all (well, not ALL) depends on whether Ahnahld still knows how to act - he has seemed to be awfully desperate to get back into the spotlight since his term as governor ended.
hah, "Still" knows how to act. That made laugh. This is going to suck and we all know it, but I for one and am looking forward to it anyways.

I know this will likely turn out shit. My favourite film of all time is Terminator 2, so it's kind of unbeatable in that regard.

But fuck it, it's a new Terminator movie and it has Arnold, if I could endure the mediocore T3 and Salvation movies then how much worse can this one be?

Still, you know what I would prefer? No more fucking Terminator movies. The series will always be the first two films and that's it, to me.

I don't know why, it hasn't been that long since that last one he was in (even less long since that last entry in the series), especially not compared to Indian Jones.
I don't understand the Crystal Skull hate, it was certainly better than that Temple of Doom crap.

Rise of the Machines was lackluster and Salvation was utter crap - I'd say we at least have every right to be apprehensive of this one.
don't understand the crystal skull hate..?

indiana jones movies do not have extra terrestrials.
they have nazis, temples/ruins, death traps and snakes.
end of.

as for ahnold sweatyknickers in a new terminator movie...
it can't be a good idea... can it?
No, Indiana Jones movies have whatever the hell Mr. Lucas decides to put in them. Having aliens in it doesn't make it a crappy movie, yet that seems to be the sentiment of every single person who says it is.

And it all (well, not ALL) depends on whether Ahnahld still knows how to act - he has seemed to be awfully desperate to get back into the spotlight since his term as governor ended.
Just so you don't feel lonely. I LOVE Crystal Skull, I seem to be the only person around that does. Sure it's no Raiders or Crusade, but it sure as hell beats Temple of Doom, that movie has a great intro and conclusion, with everything in the middle being a boring shitfest of random scenes strung together, I will never understand the love for that movie, every time I watch it I just lose interest.

I proudly place Crystal Skull alongside with the other films, it was wonderful and I saw it in theatres 3 times. It would've been shit if it was Nazi's or something again, the franchise was never supposed to be about that and was intended to have different adventures around the world, but they put them in Crusade because people didn't like Doom at the time.

Also, Harrison Ford still kicks ass as Indy and John Williams did another kick ass score.

So Arnold is freely admitting he's not running for another term, or that he wont win another is whats being said here.

I always figured Arnold would start with a True Lies 2.

My plot for the movie: Eliza Dushku is currently or about to married, but has not told her husband that she works for Omega Sector. Her dad still works there to, but has retired from field work.

Bad things happen, we get to see Eliza kick-ass again, get in too deep, dad must go back into the field to save the day, and it's now equal parts uber-hero and 'I'm getting to old for this s***'.

The flavor of the original. Eliza is perfect to take the front in the film, and we have a reason to believe why flabby Arnold is doing action.

Unfortunately James Cameron is a bit tied up.
