I just updated Empire: Total War, it crashed in the exact same place. So to check it updated I read the error report, it said empire.exe version 1.00.0.00 (or something similar), does this mean Steam isn't updating my game?!?
I'm so frigging annoyed right now! If something ain't broke don't fix it, the normal patching update method works fine, steam damned well doesn't. This game would easily have been my favourite this year, now I'm doubting if I'll ever complete the grand campaign mode. I'm disappointed more than anything else, all previous games have worked amazingly for me, just shows no-one nowadays pays as much detail as they used to to designing a game.
CA and Sega, with this one glaring fault in your game for me you've demolished your stature as games designers, and the fact that your patching system doesn't work either further proves my point.
