Well, the game was released on PSN today, and I downloaded the demo and found it to be quite fun. Nice throw back to retro games.

Has anyone else played it yet?

Needless to say, I don't have a PS3 or a EXbawks 360 to download the game from. It does look cool though.

game's tough enough already without button mash-y stuff, you really need to learn how to block and dodge and use your attacks or this game will stomp your ass

yup. if you don't block and dodge you WILL get wrecked. So far I've only gotten to the second boss, and it's a pretty staunch challenge, in the old beat-em-up vein. It's too bad that there's no online multiplayer though, since going it alone can be kind of tedious, and playing with a few friends seems like it'd be a blast. It's a shame that these days it's hard to get 4 people together in the same spot to play.

I played the demo and it seemed pretty glitchy. It was alright, though. I love Scott Pilgrim but I'm not that into beat-em-ups, or at least what little I've played of them. A bit too repetitive for my tastes.

I like the look of it, good old fashioned sidescrolling fighting game. And come on, one of the powers you can use on the first level as Scott is to have Knives come down and shout LOVE!! and blast everything away. Will have to wait till the 25th to get it on XBLA though (seeing as there's no PC release)

watched a review. Apparently there's no online. With this kind of game it's good to just kind of start up and play a couple levels and then turn off. It becomes a lot less convenient when you have to manually assemble friends.

EDIT: If the xbox version has online co-op I'll buy it.

Bought it and I love it. Friends and I almost beat it but Gideon Graves is the hardest boss in the history of gaming. We'll give it another go after we see the movie on Friday.

Still a fantastic beat em'up though with one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a long time.

Haven't tried it but I'm somewhat curious about the movie coming out and I read the graphic novels of Scott Pilgrim several days ago.
