I have recently been intrigued by the new game scribblenauts and how you can use you're own imagination to play the game.

If you have no idea what i am talking about then look at some of these links:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTEUbtgpIgo
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-scribblenauts/50735
http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/25149

These are the best videos.

Anyways, what i was wondering is what sort of options you would choose and how, i wanna know all the different possibilities people can come up with.

Looks fun. Might be limited by the amount of stuff you can put in though... I can imagine putting lots of things in it wouldnt recognize.

It isn't limited because they went through loads of dictionaries and wikipedia etc. for five months finding every single possible variation

I completely agree, the game is totally limited by the amount of fantasy the designers and programmers of the game have. I don't really see what this game provides over many of the video flash games like the one on beer.com.

Are you sure they thought of all possible solutions? And really, all of them [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/unforgotten-realms/621-Episode-25-A-Doomhouse]?

The fact that they have a waffle toaster (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-scribblenauts/50735), kind of leads you to believe that they have a bit of variety.

I have to say, that the fact that you can summon God does it for me, you could smite everyone.

Look, this game isn't about AI. It's about what the developers imagined the player would do, no matter how "wakky" it would be.

Apart from the excellent example I posted before, here's another one for the whale puzzle from the gametrailers video. Let's say I'm in a wakky mood and I want to use the trick from Link's Awakening and play Marion's song to the whale/walrus to have it top over in the water. What do you think would happen if I write "occarina" or "marion"? Right, nothing.

OK, come on, lets be honest here. We all were thinking of typing in penis, weren't we? Thought so.

What would happen if you summoned an atheist then? Would God vanish in the face of the unbeliever, or would the atheist be converted?

Personally, I'd probably just mess around and create whatever popped into my head at the time. In fact, I'd probably spend most of my time trying to recreate Star Wars, or the Matrix, or some other movie, and then maybe think about playing the game properly.

It'd help if you spelled "ocarina" correctly, for starters. And as it's a real instrument, it'll most likely be in there. It's a type of flute thing.

As for me, I'd make physics-based puzzles, since it seems there's some sort of physics engine in the game.
