as none of you know, I am an indie-filmer. We are making a music video for THE VIEW by Modest Mouse.

CHARACTERS -

CHRISTIAN - me
MICHAELLA - girlfriend and also part-time actress
DUSTIN & AUSTIN - my little brothers and part-time actors.

we tried to keep this one simple.
listen to the song on playlist.com or my myspace myspace.com/m_m_mu
great song

STRICT CRITICISM ADVISED
The View - Modest Mouse project extraordinaire

Music video starts off with foot tapping to song beat.

Then switches to comb going through hair.

Then switches to shirt being pulled on.

Then goes back to feet.

Then goes to cologne being sprayed on neck.

Then wrinkles in shirt being smoothed.

Shows CHRISTIAN in the mirror trying out pick-up lines and whatnot.

Then walks out of bathroom into living room to see DUSTIN playing X-box. Dustin stops to mouth words then sits back down and resumes.

Christian walks outside to car.

He opens the door.

Cut shot, freeze actor in place.

Back up the car out of shot.

Resume shot.

Have CHRISTIAN walk back into house to sit back on couch.

Make sure that as Christian walks in front of camera that his delicious body is covering up the whole shot so that when he goes to sit down, the position of the shots will change and he will appear in field when he backs up. Make it smooth roll so it is almost unnoticeable.

As he sits down have CHRISTIAN fall onto the blanket.

Picnic basket visible in the shot.

Cut to side shot of CHRISTIAN laying on his back and it shows upper head.

MICHAELLA falls on top, right before they kiss, she disappears.

Cut back shot about 15 feet

Shows CHRISTIAN sit up, look around and opens up basket and takes out a sandwhich.

As he goes to take a bite, cut shot, make sure distance is the same, and have him appear in middle of parking lot.

CHRISTIAN then gets up, and walks into laundry mat and opens up random dryer and pulls out a pair of pants and walks into bathroom, then instantly walks back out with pair of pants on and walks out of laundry mat.

When door opens change it to screen door in exactly same space as last shot and have CHRISTIAN walk down the steps and lay on the grass.

Have MICHAELLA keep falling on top of CHRISTIAN and disappearing as shots change settings, but same positions.

Finally on last shot, they kiss, but briefly, as CHRISTIAN disappears from underneath her, and she mouths the word FUCK.

Shot changes back to CHRISTIAN as he shouts the word FUCK and sits back down and crosses legs and puts face in hands.

Settings continue to change as he stays in the same place.

CHRISTIAN then stands up and walks to computer.

An Instant Message from THE CHANGER says THINGS WONT CHANGE UNTIL YOU CAN SEE THE VIEW.

He then googles THE VIEW and watches the show THE VIEW.

Show this sequence in shots fading into one another of him laughing and crying as it is displayed on the computer.

Then an Instant Message says NO YOU MUST SEE THE VIEW TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT

CHRISTIAN then walks out of room to see AUSTIN standing in way of door and says in subtitles "DON'T GO TO THE VIEW. YOU MUST SEE THINGS YOURSELF"

MICHAELLA appears briefly and a piece of paper is dropped from where she stands as she disappears.

It says GO TO DILLE'S HOUSE

Then in big curly words SOMETIME LATER shows up and then fades out into CHRISTIAN walking down street.

He then stops and holds up paper in front of camera so that the word DILLE is displayed and then it is panned down to show the words DILLE on the house.

He walks up to porch and opens screen door when another piece of paper appears with the GF symbol that is shown on the hill.

It then shows Christian walking up steep hill to find MICHAELLA there and he walks up to her grabs her waist as she is turned away from him.

His mouth is brought to her ear in a shot and says in subtitles I WILL NEVER FORGET THE VIEW OF YOU.

It then fades out to CHRISTIAN waking up on bed with and empty side of the bed. On the pillow next to him it displays YOU ALREADY HAVE

It's a little hard to critique stage directions.

"Jim goes to the table" - This line is TERRIBLE!

"Alice looks wistfully out of the window" - Unrealistic

"Jim picks up a paper clip" - Excellent!
