Okay, I've been a long-time fan of scrubs. I love JD, the Todd, Doctor Cox, and the whole gang, really. They're the perfect cast that really click well together. I fell out of the show shortly before the final season, but still saw the series finale. It was a nice sendoff.
What I really don't like is the spin-off show, Scrubs: Med School. It's the same writers, right? Then why do we have a bunch of black-and-white characters with Turk and Cox acting like old, washed-up versions of themselves? It's not like the original series, but it's so bland and boring, especially the neurotic female version of JD.
What would have worked better is if they pulled a few actors from the original series (Like Donald and John) and tried a brand new show. The writers have this knack for coming up with funny and lighthearted yet serious stories, but the new characters make the entire thing dull, and the old characters do nothing interesting except eye-roll at the new guys and try to suck up to them respectively. (Cox and Turk, once again.)
So basically, decent stories let down by bad actors tied in with two people from the original cast who can't hold the entire thing above water.
