Right, I'm just asking a question about this film, as i just finished watching it there
And since it has to do with the story, I'm gonna shove it in a clicky-spoiler thing.

Right, do you remember the guy that was immobile for a year? How did the guy manage to get him there in the first place? It's confused me

Drug his drink. drug him with a chloroform handkerchief or sedative needle (life in saw) knock him out, put a gun to his head or a knigfe to his back and make him follow you around or die.

Theres many options, as a gamer you should've been able to think of at least one of them... hasn't all the violence and sex in video-games corrupted your brain just a tiny bit yet?

Yes, it has, it's just that I was expecting a explanation, just wondering if I missed it

Umm, the killer pulled off far more bizarre stunts in that movie, kidnapping isn't all so special in comparison.

I know, but that one just confused me, as it never said how he managed to keep him down for that length of time (which I'm not going to mention)

Wasn't he tied to the bed when they found him? He probably just knocked him out, tied him up with some very strong ties, and possibly kept him drugged up for a few months so his muscles would atrophy.

The doctor's statement at the hospital that 'his brain is mush' always implied to me that he was kept at least somewhat sedated for the entire time of his captivity. You might be 'batshit-loco' as the result of complete deprivation of stimuli and being unable to move, but it wouldn't physiologically impact the brain. With the extended use of certain classes of drugs, however, you can literally turn your gray matter into gray porridge.

Sorry, the wife is in Neurophysiology, so this is actually something we've discussed on occassion.
