searching for something old

Does anyone have anyadvice for finding something old and small on the internet? I'm trying to find like a blog post from like 2004 and i don't know which blog it was. anyone got any ideas?

More specifically It's a blog post or story about galactic civilisations 2. possibly an exspansion. He sat down to play during easter week. playing a bunny like race - possibly spectres. Went on to win through tech victory. I found it through a link at nuklearpower.com.

I think there is some sort of advanced search you can do on google to narrow down the timeframe you're looking at? Sorry I'm not very helpful

EDIT: Omg dumb idea but I just had it after I banged my head on the way back from the kitchen. Try using either Google Archives or using one of the older search engines like Altavista?
