Anyone know of games where secondary objectives or just doing alot of good really matter in the long run? Secondary objectives are those that don't have too be completet to still complete the mission.

The obvious ones off the top of my head are Dragon Age and Mass Effect 1 and 2. But im talking about things like if you in Halo 3 keep as many of the marines alive util the mission is completetd you get them in the next mission. Or in Command & Conquer 3 you choose to destroy the harbor with only the Commando, and as a reward, you get more troops on the next map.

tldr; Any games where extra effort now equals extra long term reward?

In Chaos Theory, if you do the secondary missions, you don't have to do them later on.

More so, in Double Agent, you get more gadgets for snooping and spying.

I guess any bethesda game (esp fallout 3) would be one. You get bonus exp points and your decisions occasionally lead to big changes in the world. e.g. diffuse or detonate the megaton bomb

Oblivion, easy. You can get some pretty DAMN good rewards too. Like Shadowmere.
