An Egyptian Assassin's Creed?

Weren't some people wanting a cool futuristic game after the first one, and instead they just got another throwback to the past?
Fixed for you.

I know of lots of people who DIDN'T want a futuristic one. For one thing, how would that possibly work? DNA Memory = Impossible but plausible. DNA Prediction = ?

Even if it was near future, say Desmond escaping from Asbergo, people have GUNS. It would end up as simply another shooter. And how can you free run on skyscrapers?

Sorry, that came out as slightly more rant than I expected.

That's no problem. I guess I just only heard from the people who wanted the futuristic one. xD Sorry if I sounded like I was talking from every gamers' perspective there.

And your points do make a lot of sense. The only way that stuff could've worked would be if they had given him super powers or something.

i don't know, i get a more modern-Egypt vibe from that artwork. not ancient Eygpt. But it would make a TON of sense for the next AC to take place there considering what happens in the end of AC2

[spoiler/] the whole "those who came before" probably helped build the pyramids and are one of the other "temples made by those who turned away from war" or something like that. [/spoiler]
I thought the next AC was Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, which continues to follow Ezio.

It would make sense for an Egyptian AC, but it would be boring if it was ancient Egypt as a desert isn't particularly good for free-running. I'm hoping for a contemporary one, but also dreading it. It would mean guns, which would mean a shooter, which wouldn't work. Although, the Abstergo guards had those batons. Maybe shardshooters would replace Archers and the footsoldiers would have various technological Melee weapons? Who knows, it'll still be awesome whatever they do.

Further into the past and closer to eden. Isn't Enoch (the land Caine lived) supposed to be near egypt?
It's supposed to be in Mesopotamia, which is relatively close to Egypt. Not closer than the original was to Egypt but closer than central and northern Italy. I think it will probably have something to do with the mystery of the pyramids and hopefully have some questing to do within and around Alexandria. Maybe set around 391 A.D. since the library was ordered to be destroyed by a Coptic Pope at that time because of the "pagan" knowledge held within it.
