Me and my friends went to Clash of the Titans a few hours ago. We all really like it and I suggest going to it if you haven't already now while we were driving back to my friends place. My other friend brought up a point about the movie.

This guy...

that seems to be the only one that wears a turban during the movie and also the only one to blow himself up.

Now do not get mad at me for racial profiling or some such bull shit is was a point my friend brought up and I was just wondering what you guys think.

I think that's pretty silly. If everything even slightly suspicious were decried as blatant racism, you've got a pretty massive restriction on creativity.

I'm sure some radicals in the middle east see it that way. They will use it as an excuse to burn american flags. They will hold onto this information until it is profitable (perhaps prophetable?) to them then get a bunch of people that don't really know any better pissed at the West yet again. They did this with the Mohammad drawings by that Dutch fellow a few years ago. The radical leaders held onto the information till they wanted a bunch of pissed off people then released it to their followers and the general public in their area. Don't be surprised if the same happens with the scenes from this movie. Not saying your friend is wrong for thinking that maybe it was something like that, but I don't think it is. Sometimes a movie is just a movie.

Odds are it was accidental. Also, mildly entertaining cause now a bunch of annoying people will notice and get annoyed for no good reason.

Could be sort of an inside joke or something. But I think the reason they did it was because it's badass. Just like the reason they did anything else in this film.
