See WoW in 3D at PAX East

Because I live about an hour's drive from Boston, I'm actually going to PAX East.

OT: World of Warcraft? Really? Of all the more exciting, Graphically intense games out there they chose World of Warcraft? Anyway, until Nvidia lower the price back down to earth I don't think me or anyone I know are going to be buying into this 3D thing.

As long as it doesn't require special monitors(Nvidia's tech does), just a special card, I'm game to see what 3D can do with gaming. However I would as soon not see gaming become only 3D. Let's leave it an option, please. At least for right now.

As for their choice of WoW, it makes sense to use a game most people can recognize. The hope would be that if it is shown to the largest gaming demographic, the response would be viral in getting people to invest in 3D. Of course the ones that throw up from motion sickness would be a mite discouraged. Not to mention the new cause of migraines that will be proliferating if this becomes mainstream. It's going to take a bit to adapt.
I like to think I'm stouter than most, but when I watched Avatar in 3D I felt weird twinges that I know would be much worse to more susceptible people.

WoW + 3D + Highest Graphics + Highest Resolution + Large Monitor = BEST GAME IN THE UNIVERSE.
