Michael Ironside - the voice of Sam Fisher - is a balding, fat guy. He can crush you with his voice though.

These two guys...

...make up, like, 75% of the people in this picture.

I think Nolan North looks JUST LIKE Nathan Drake.
I'm not risking it, I'm never looking at a picture of Nolan North ever. If he doesn't look exactly like Nathan Drake, down to how he dresses, I'll be very disappointed...

Last night Raphael Sbarge (voice actor of Carth Onasi and Kaidan Alenko) was on Burn Notice. It was weird seeing the face of the actor whose voice I heard so much prior. I really didn't expect him to look like that. Though I may have associated his voice with Carth's face too much. There are a few others like Phil LaMar, Billy West, and John DiMaggio.

How do you guys react when you see what voice actors?
It always throws me off. I tend to associate the voice with the character. Only if I've seen the actor before the part does it not affect me. The same thing happens when I listen to the radio. The voices are pretty much disembodied to me until I see them, and then it's always a shock.

Trust me, Friend. HE DOES. Except for how he dresses. I dont think a dingy tshirt and a gun are proper day to day attire.

When I first saw Michael Ironside in some "behind the games" thing about Splinter Cell, I was honestly a little surprised. I didn't think the guy would have looked much like Sam, but did he really have to be this old, balding guy?

That's how I usually react.

Half the time when I see professional voice actors in live action roles, they don't even sound remotely like their characters. Like Jodi Benson (the voice of Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Barbie in Toy Story 3). When I saw her in Enchanted, I wouldn't have even known it was her if I hadn't already looked up this fact in advance.

Same goes for when I've seen people like Hank Azaria in a live action role or being interviewed. His regular voice is usually nothing like what I'd associate with any of his characters.

I generally find it more surprising if you hear someone from the radio, and you get an impression of what they look like by their voice, and in real life they look completely different, but have that exact same voice you're used to hearing every day.

I saw Sbarge on CSI a while back, it was there like "WHO'S VOICE IS THAT" for a good while until it hit me, can't say his appearance stuck me as a shock though.

This one is almost uncanny though:

The character is probably modeled after the actor. I know they did the same for Agent 47. I know a few people who were very cross about that voice actor not portraying Agent 47 in the Hitman movie.

John DiMaggio is an amazing voice actor. The crazy thing is he only had like four voice setting. Bee tee dubs, DiMaggio did get fatter recently so he looks more like Marcus Fenix.

Fu Dog/Wakka from American Dragon: Jake Long/Final Fantasy X (his actual voice)
Drakken/Smiling Jack from Kim Possible/Vampire: The Masquerade ? Bloodlines
Marcus Fenix from Gears of War trilogy (I think when he played Kimari in FFX they just deepened this version of his voice)

Ok, I can't think of his fourth version at the moment. Basically, if you know the four versions of his voice you will be hearing him everywhere. Just like Phil LaMar but to a smaller degree.

I once saw the English dub voice actor for Asuka from Evangelion. It was shocking, really, though she does look like an older version of her character from what I've seen.
