Sega Makes A Kart Racer

Suffered through them back when my mate was into Crash and J+D. They were passable, but even he had to admit they were poor rip offs of Mario Kart. Happy now?Onmi said:

Is it just me that is astonished by how deep they have their heads up their asses with this quote? I mean how thick are these people who work at SEGA?
The attitude displayed by this game developer alone proofs how BAD this is going to turn out.
Its one thing that decling quality of Sonic game is staggering but how dilusional the people who are involved in the making of these games just brings it to a complete whole new level of stupidity and insanity.
Sonic games have been universally bad but the Sonic spin-off series are just the worst.
It's like SEGA is trying so hard to make Sonic go the same path as Nintendos chubby plumber that its getting pathetic and sad. Sonic is running at Mach-1 speed in the wrong direction over the cliff, falling down and leaving nothing but a dead corpse behind.
That is how they're treating the franchaise.
EDIT: Have anyone noticed how the Wikipedia article about the Sonic game used to have a section where the declining quality of the games was mentioned? And how it now has been removed? (by the evil forces of SEGA perhaps?)
I know Mario Kart has its flaws, but out of family friendly games that people can just sit down, pick up and play, it ranks the highest in quality.For more competitive 'serious' games, I much prefer something like F-zero, though I'm not one normally for racers.Onmi said:

Plus they copied the Diddy Kong racing idea, of having a hub you drove around in and of having to get certain awards and items to proceed, which never really sat with me well. So pretty much its just personal preference.

Its just a personal preference. I know its pinikety, but then most dislikes usually are. As for the real gaming issues, I'm sorry I can't remember them. It was quite a few years ago and as I took it to be a unremarkable game, I never really paid any attention to the fine details, leaving only the picky bits to stand out for me. Okay cause I thought your opinion actually meant something in the long run. It's like me saying Mario 64 was bad cause the first nintendo home console I ever owned was a Wii. (and i've been a gamer for years)
And I still don't own a Mario game.
But I know they are good games even if I have no connection.
As for the Hub... *shrugging?*
EDIT: also the happiness thing was a joke, I thought that was obvious. also note that right now I just woke up to shouting so if I seem a little snarky that would do it.
As for never owning a playstation, guilty as charged. However, doesn't mean I haven't clocked in enough hours playing on one as it was my first introduction to RPGs, racing games and my first taste of the proper Resi games. Also introduced me to Jade Cocoon and Legends of Dragoon, for which I'm eternally grateful. Led to me expanding my gaming tastes in the long run, and I pretty much have an encyclopedic knowledge of final fantasy games due to having watched my mate play so many of them!
As to the EDIT, ah no offense taken. Everyone has a bad day and the internet is the perfect venting ground at times. Its why I added the smile at the end of the last post.
Hopefully this wont fuck up in your face like the other feeble attempts at making a sonic based racing game. However with the addition of other sega characters this could be interesting. Or a great big steaming pile of shit.
