It's scary how much people are willing to help the puppy or the kitten by dropping their change into the collection box, while telling the bum to 'get a job', because as we all know, Walmart are actively looking for greeters that wear their underwear on the outside and smell like garbage.

I'm sure these people would love to 'get a job' in the main, but first they need a home, an address, a suit, and a whole bunch of other stuff, for now, chuck him a dollar so he can eat without having to steal it.

The puppies and kittens will do just fine, it bugs me when you see people giving a bum with a dog cans of dog food, its such a 'screw you, but don't let the dog go hungry'.

I love animals, but I just think we treat our elderly, our sick and our homeless so badly, they could do with a bigger cut of what we drop on animal charity. If we quit pumping out so many kittens and puppies for the pet industry, there wouldn't be such a need for charities. It's like cows would only exist in zoos now if we didn't milk them and eat them. if we didn't have pets there'd be a few cats and dogs and rabbits and hamsters in a zoo cage being gawped at and that's all.

I guess SEGA had to pull the adds or run the risk of a PETA headcase firebombing some office owned by the company.

So they assumed that whoever trained that chimp was treating it bad and for THAT, they wanted the ad pulled?

God. Fucking. Damn. It.

"OH NO! LOOK! A CHIMP PLAYING MARACCAS ON TV! THEY MUST HAVE BEEN BEATING IT, AND WHEN THEY WERE DONE WITH IT THEY MUST HAVE BURNED IT ALIVE AND EATEN IT! TO THE PETAMOBILE!"

Cause everyone knows enormous international electronics corporations always use the lowest bidder for their animal trainers and shady go betweens.

It'll come out in the next few days the chimp was probably born in a Zoo and fed on a diet of bannana's and expensive swedish chocolates.

Maybe I should explain what the video really is. Well it's Penn & Teller's Bullshit on P.E.T.A.

PETA favors animals over humans, but aren't humans technically mammals? Sure, we may be a lot more intelligent, but we have no natural defenses, are soft and squishy, etc etc.

EDIT: And TsunamiWombat makes a good point. Wouldn't it be better to hire a chimp from a zoo that's been trained and living in a relatively good environment rather than stealing an infant and teaching it?

I garuntee you no matter how cold blooded or cutthroat SEGA's business department might be hypothetically, insurance and litigious reasons alone would ensure that Chimpanzee came from a Zoo, legally, and was treated like gold crusted diamons. Fines and Lawsuits levied by animal rights watchdogs would jam their foot up SEGA's ass in a second. Furthermore, animal actors are considered ACTORS, and there are STRICT studio shoot rules about what can be done to children/animal actors. That Chimpanzee had just as many rights, by contract, as any human actor. I got my degree in Film/Radio/Television, and one of our class projects was researching and creating our production company and reviewing the laws and regulations.
