This is what we all get for not buying Dreamcasts.

No more Shenmue.
No more Power Stone.
No more...

Okay, those are the only two interesting DC games I know about, but I'm sure there's more!

Dreamcast was a nice little system though. In terms of hardware, it was easily a rival for the PS2. They were either too early to market, or people just gave up on Sega after the Saturn.

And now Nintendo owns them. Too bad...

Sure...What's next? Another Power Stone game?

Because if they announce a Shenmue game, that's the next logical step to reviving all series that died with the Dreamcast. That and Skies of Arcadia.
To be fair power stone is a capcom game.

Sega gonna have to get it's shit together quickly, that much I can agree with. a Shenmue remake or sequal should be very promising.

Well, I never played the first two games ever. My recommendation is because not a lot of people have really played the game, let alone heard of it, why not re-release it on XBLA with new graphics and new and improved gameplay elements? Hey, it could work. I'm just putting it out there.

I think Sega is looking for an exclusivity deal in exchange for help in funding the game. Personally, I think they should aim for the PS3. Yakuza 3 was a PS3 exclusive and it proved to be a huge success in Japan. Sega could utilize Yakuza 4's game engine to cut down on costs.

Well, Power Stone [and Power Stone 2] came out on PSP, so I wouldn't exactly say that PS died w/ the DC.
And I bought that game.

Load times were terrible. So, I made the matches 5 rounds to get the most out of each loading time.

Still, that means a sequel is possible, right?
God damn I hope so... Although, to this day, I STILL get made fun of for playing Shenmue 2 in front of my friend and making the mistake of buying something from a vending machine. Bastard just wont let it go.

I'm always suprised when I hear it didn't sell well. It's kinda like firefly though I guess. If you played/saw it you loved it, but most people ignored it.

Someone has already said what I was about to say. Re-release the first two. Seriously. If they sell, than you know that fans and newcomers alike are interested in the series still. That should be enough incentive to make a 3rd one.
Rerelease with awesome graphics and people will give a big amount of attention to it.

God willing, yes. I still have both of my DC versions, plus the PSP one. My Power Stone 2 disc is too far gone to work anymore and I still fear that the first game will die on me any day now.

The reason why I bought a Dreamcast was for Shenmue. Seaman and Shenmue were the only two games I ever played on it. I got Shenmue II for Xbox the day it came out and loved it as well, but I honestly can't remember ANY of the story. I remember it was kind of retarded, but I didn't play for the story, really. It was just fun to be someone else and do whatever in a realistic world.
