Howdy ho! First off, yes I do realise that the title roughly translates to "Victory Hell", so think of it as a sort of work-in-progress title.
Anyways, whilst browsing the RP boards, I noticed that people seem to go wayyyyy into the future or wayyyyyy into the past when thinking of idea. And why not? The whole idea of role-playing is immersion. To let your fingers do the typing and your mind do the wandering. To let your imagination soar to huge heights, where there really is no limit to the possibilities you can accomplish. And thats why role-playing is so fantastic, because it shows that we, a generation who have been branded as mindless internet/gaming zombies can infact, still use their brain to do whatever the hell we want.
So with that, allow me then to present you with my idea
<spoiler=Story>1943. World War II has completely dominated the entire planet. Thousands of men enlist in tangent with the thousands of men who give their lives on the battlefield everyday. Battles are won through sheer force of manpower and will, Generals hiding behind the mantra that it's all for "the greater good".
Despite the brutality of the fighting. Despite the bloodshed, the unfathomable sorrow of the young lives wasted the desire to fight to the death, the heartbreak and the pain inflicted by The Great War, there is still yet a darker side. For deep in the Black Forests in Germany, a highly classified research facility has come to the attention of the higher ups of the Allied Army. This place is apparently Hitler's number one researching station for dabbling in the Occult. Warped with the desire to win the war at any cost, unspeakable acts of evil have taken place there, yet the end result is unknown, as no more intelligence has been gathered since.
Intrigued, the Allies have sent in a team of soldiers known only as the C.A.B, the Crisis Alert Battalion. Some of the most highly regarded soldiers in the entire Allied Army make up this unit. No two members the same. Each with their own ability that makes them an invaluable asset to the team. Twelve people, each willing to die for their country.
Or so it would appear. Yet unbeknownst to anyone but themselves, six of the members harbor a dark secret. For these six, for reasons unknown to all but themselves, have been working for the Axis since the task quad was formed. Now finally, going on their first mission, there is an opportunity for them to "deal" with the other six, once and for all, deep in enemy territory.
But, nothing is ever as simple as it sounds. For within the facility, lies a threat to not only the Allies, but to the entire planet. Something is dwelling in that desolate place, now festering with raw, unrelenting hatred that, if let loose, would change the course of humanity...for the worse.
Evil as been awoken. And it ain't going back to sleep anytime soon.
[/spoiler]
For now, I'm just going to see if anyones interested in this idea. I've done many an RP before, each quite successful, so if this idea picks up steam, then I'll slap up Character Sheets and Rules and whatnot.
So there you have it. I hope you like the idea, any comments or helpful critique is always welcome, and let me know if you want in and your spot will be reserved.
