Whats the toughest self imposed challenge you've ever imposed on yourself?

For me it would be Halo Reach co-op legendary. With a partner who would be considered "inept" on his best day. And "F*ck are we playing the same game!?" on his worst. Not enough? Well he also happened to be stoned out of his mind at the time.

Fallout: New Vegas on Ultra-Hardcore. Hardcore mode, without using any sort of walkthrough or guide, and deleting my saves if I die. Haven't died yet, but have had a save deleted by a glitch - which took about 6 hours off.

Winning a match with the weakest mage type character that I built up with attack items in League of Legends. Took a while to find a team that could carry me to victory.

I fence without the padding. Though thats more just me being a show off and a masochist.

Um... Oh, I like to see how far i can go in shooter games without actually killing someone.

I tried to see how many zombies I could kill in dead rising with just the teddy bear.
I also lowered my level back to 1 in the "World Ends With You" (which you can due via options) just so I could get better loot from enemies.

Um..... I sometimes try to go through entire campaigns only melee killing people on the hardest difficulty...

OT: RE5 Boat boss without the satellite laser. I did it on my second attempt. Keep in mind I didn't even know there was the laser.

Beat Half Life 2 Episode 1 for the achievement "One Free Bullet" first try without being killed.
However I got nothing on this guy:
Clarification: THE GAUNTLET is a bonus mission in Ace Combat Zero in which you have half an hour to defeat all of the Boss Ace Squadrons from the entire game in one sitting. If difficulty is on the hardest, going over the Return Line will restore your ammo but not your health. Additionally, you can only take 3 rounds of gun damage, or less than 1 missile hit before death.
The hardest weapon to use in Ace Combat Zero is the fighter-mounted gun, and one of the least maneuverable fighters in the game is the F-117, which is adapted in the game for low speed ground attack. This mission would be easier with missiles and an Interceptor or Air Superiority fighter, such as an F/A-22 or Su-37.

It'd have to be a very self-imposed challenge for me to play any Gamecube Metroid game again, I just finished Prime and I nearly broke my fingers on the final boss trying to charge weapon, jump and use the beam combo at the same time.

To complete World at War on veteran difficulty without unlocking the Purple Heart achievement (which is granted for dying 20 times in a single level). And i did it!

I played the first Modern Warfare on Veteran on my first playthrough and beat it (After umpteenmillion tries) dunno if that counts. :/

OT: Either beat 4-5 of my friends alone in an all mid battle in LoL (went pretty well, but die once and they got 2 turrets... Still think I can do it if I get another try though, I'm quite a bit better than them. =p (although they're getting better, making it harder for me to manage crushing them... D) or to scrape together approx. 2000 Euro before Christmas next year. And no, I don't have any job. D:

Playing Killzone 2 (my first game on ps3, still wasn't used to the controller) using only the knife, revolver and grenades on the hardest difficulty setting on first run.

Strange thing was, this wasn't intentional. I had been stuck for some time in the second level, couldn't cross a street, so I got frustrated (didnt want to lower the difficulty because I wanted the trophy) and grabbed my knife and charged. I made it to the next mission before I died again. I then restarted the entire game, veteran again, and used only the knife, revolver/pistol and grenades from then on.


IT WAS AWESOME!
