Selling your soul: Would you?

Popular fiction (mainly Reaper) tells us that selling your soul to the Devil always comes with a sting in the tail, the deal always comes weighted in the Devils favour and he will seek to claim your soul sooner rather than later.

So to answer the question, no, I wouldn't sell my soul, I like it too much and can't think of anything I would want desperately enough to justify it.

was much more effective without their soul, the cost massively outweighs the benefits. Being practically emotionless and moral-less I would consider a blessing. Without all that other crap clogging your brain you could become a genius at certain fields. Something like Sherlock Holmes as a detective.

I wouldn't sell my soul for supernatural powers or life extention. I would gladly become a lifeless vegetative husk so a friend/relative would survive an otherwise unsurvivable situation. But, as I become more antisocial, I am more willing to extend my own life, rather than help others. I'm at a stand still at the moment. But I wouldn't sell something valuable. I would trade it for something useful, like the survival of a loved one, or world peace.

overall, no. Best case scenario is I sell my soul and am essentially enslaved to them to do their bidding for all eternity. Worst case scenario is I sell my soul to a devil, and spend all eternity in hellfire.

However, if the reward is very great, I might be willing to sell my soul for a limited time. If the deal was for ownership of my soul for say 100 year, i would atleast consider it. but not eternity, eternity is too long.

Just my interpretation, haha. I know (well, a little bit of) the mythos. I'm just sayin' if I was the Devil, tempting people and causin' mayhem, I'd reward the biggest sinners. Just to make Hell more enticing, otherwise, no one wants to go to Hell if Heaven is all awesome. Making Hell awesome would be a much better way to get back at God.
