Sequels

Pretty much every game under the sun these days has at least one- some even last to the point when the developers realize they can?t keep using numbers and start using random words like ?Vice City Stories?, ?Ratchet and Clank Deadlocked?, ?Tomb Raider Underworld? etc.

My question that I pose to you is to write a list of some of the games that you think fall into these categories-

Games that have had sequels that were good/better than the original-

Saints Row
Halo
Ace Combat
Fallout
Rainbow Six Vegas


Games that have had sequels made that were worse than the original/ruined the series as a whole-

H.A.W.X
Zelda
Star Wars
(List is infinite)

Games which had solely one installment and so could not be ruined by a sequel-

Skies of Arcadia (Legends is an improved Gamecube remake so it doesn't count)
Conkers Bad Fur Day
Tom Clancy?s Endwar

I'm sure you can think of others to add to your personal list.

Better;
- Uncharted 2
- Mass Effect 2
- Gears Of War 2

Worse than original
- Final Fantasy X-2 (only ruined FF10 not whole series)
- Bioshock 2 (a really good game just not 10/10 like the first)
- Tony Hawks Underground 2

Ruined by sequels
- Tabula Rosa 2(with Infinite, this could've been the perfect series)
- Too Human 2
- Kane and Lynch 2

Better: Persona 4
Rainbow 6 Vegas 2
Wild Arms 3
Ninja Gaiden 2
They were better mostly due to tightening of the mechanics and expanding on what made it's predecessor great

Worse: Apollo Justice, mind you it's still good but paled in comparison to the original trilogy.

Wild Arms 4,I like when they try to mix it up but removing the puzzles and western vibe the series is known for was just stupid.This also counts as my pick for a franchise ruiner as well
