@Zero People die here and come back to life after the killer is killed or the only person left. That's the only real backvstory. Alternatively Murderville can transcend dimensions and spans the area of many plant surfaces. There is also a meeting point where any other universe can take over part of Murderville so you could quite literally be living in Minecraft or something like that.

@Steak: No, that's a bad Steak!

@element: If this is Minecraft, I'm destroying the world. You know that.

@SH: I won't deny it, but I won't look like a fool, either. Oh, and watch out for element. It may not be a pun, but you never know...

@zero I imagined it was an "Arkham City" scenario where they locked up all the killers and just let them kill eachother. That, or a twisted reality show...

@Mrmac: If you want to join in, keep an eye on the game so you know when the next round is starting up. We don't normally take reserves for future rounds, except those on the regulars list.

@WP: I'm afraid Sky's right. I think there's a law that prohibits jokes from being untold. Especially half-told jokes.

@The Schizz: Yes, but the punchline is already implied, making it unnecessary to finish the joke. The joke can stand up by itself if it is unfinished and is better left as so. Subtlety is key.

@LtF: Subtle touches go a long way. Those little differences are much more important than you think.

It's like the small but important difference between peeing in the pool VS peeing into the pool.
