I spent about fifteen minutes on mine, but I think it's suitably epic. I'd prefer to be executed, as the execution is a little more dramatic. Having said that, I'm going to be murdered next. =(Pm0n3y said:
I pulled into my driveway from the local Gamestop, new game in hand. As I stepped down from my truck, a tingle went down my spine. I looked around, nothing. Listened for movement, again, silence. I was tempted to simply just throw it off as a short gust of wind, but all the deaths taught me to be a bit more cautious. Scratch that, extremely cautious.
I slipped into my house and made sure to only keep the deadbolt on my doors locked. If he's outside, he won't be able to get me. If he's inside, I can still escape relatively quickly. I booted up my PC and begin installation, grabbed a snack, and turned on the TV, with a 9mm by my remote.
Suddenly, the noise of someone climbing the concrete stairs caused me to freak out. Intending to turn off the TV and hide, I accidently grabbed the gun and fired at the screen.
"Goddamn, that cost me $1200!"
My cover blown, I ran up the stairs to my room, with the roof easily accessed through the windows. I listened for someone attempting to turn the knob, and heard nothing. I climbed out of my room expecting to be safe, but a burst of automatic gun fire shook me from sense of security. With no other way but down, I jumped on top of the roof of my truck, swearing once more about the cost of repairs.
I ran up the street, running in a zig zag to lessen the chances of being hit, when suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my bare left heel. The ensuing scream I made stunned even myself. Expecting to see blood and a bullet wound, I only saw a cut and a piece of a bottle of beer sticking out. This momentary lull was enough to get him closer.
I couldn't see a face, only a mask and an MP9 in his hands, advancing quickly on my position. I limped as quickly as I could, every other step sending a sharp pain into my foot. I knew I wouldn't last very long trying to outrun him, instead grabbing broken off pieces of concrete and throwing it behind me, attempting to injure or at least disorient him, but it only served to aggravate him more. Abandoning that, I started throwing the concrete at nearby cars to set off the alarm. But it seemed no one was willing to help me. My chances were looking pretty slim.
At least until I failed to notice the large, community mailbox. I hit it at full tilt, knocking me out and leaving my head bloody on the pavement. There was no hope for me. When I came too, he was holding up a grenade in such a way that it eclipsed the sun. He dropped it on my barely concious form and ran for it. Seconds later it exploded sending shrapnel everywhere and destroyed the nearby mailbox, leaving nothing but charred letters.
