Awesome. That'll at least be a substitute for Doom, cos I can't download neither doom nor duke nukem 3d.I live in Germany, and those games are were govermently prohibited when they came out.And now, about 15 years later , I can play goregasmic Games like Ninja Gaiden II, but not Doom.

This is the first game I've ever wanted on a platform I don't own.

Ever.

Very literally.

Ever.
Seriously.

The other day I was fantasizing about old FPS games done with new engines, like a Duke Nukem 3D remake, or Quake with the Id tech 5 engine, or Unreal 1 with the Unreal 4 engine that's coming out...Farcry with the Crysis engine. Etc.

Serious Sam certainly did cross my mind.

(But then I started thinking about remakes and stagnation and sequels and that I'd like new original characters instead of remaking a game from 15 years ago, blah blah blah.)

(But I'd still play them. :x)

Fuck Left 4 Dead, THIS is co-op.

Also, 1200 points? That's a bloody bargain! Although I'm still curious as to what the graphics update will actually include. New models? Snazzy textures? That normal mapping shizzn't?

Seriously.

I'm keen to see how this all looks, I was a fan of the game back in the day. Don't own an Xbox, which may be a problem, but eh. Seriously.

I saw this on the Seriously! [http://www.seriouszone.com/] website, looking forward to this (Serious Sam 3 is still a long way to go after all).

Also, it's coming for PC this autumn.

It's too bad that Serious Sam 2 sucked so bad, because The First and Second Encounters were frikkin' awesome.
My thoughts exactly. Number 2 was balls.
But this is pretty freaking exciting.

And 4 player Co-op? Yeah, Baby Tea will be having a ball with this.

I wonder if there's any point in buying it if you have the PC version though. After all "HD" isn't exactly amazing on the PC as it has been doing high res back when consoles were proud to have 256 colors.

Overall I think SeriousSam is a bit overrated, I hated its tendency to lock you into an arena until you've killed all the waves, I don't think Painkiller had this kind of wave spawning and with Earth Defense Force the waves and arenas were so large that it didn't feel as restricting. I think SS arenas could end up continuously spawning enemies, not giving you a real feeling for making progress because it seems they'll just keep spawning until the game says enough, in EDF you get maybe 2-3 waves per level (in many cases even just one) and these are spawned whole so when you've killed half the enemies in play that means you're really half way through the wave. Anyone with a 360 who's interested in SSHD should grab Earth Defense Force 2017 first. (and if any Wii owners lament the lack of Serious Sam and EDF on their system IMO Onslaught is a worthwile game in that subgenre as well)
