I don't know if any other 92's have he same feeling...

But i feel that right after 93' people were different.
When i was 15 -16 we had a normal and healthy lifestyle, but when i got to 18 the 15 - 16 year olds were much different.
It was such an sudden change.

I'm not "old" in that sense, i drink and party just as much as the next guy.
But i feel that "they" are so much more extreme.

Actually anyone who wastes a thought on comparing people like that, thinks exactly that way. "We we're better at that age than those people". That's just as normal as it gets.

OT: That's creativity. Who wasn't interested in guns as a young boy. Anywho, there is no way to get an objective and comprehensive look on "today's youth". Assuming things from one kid's video... No.

Haha, those are pretty cool actually. He's just a smart, bored kid. To be honest too, I made weapons when I was a kid like swords, crossbows, etc. I think most kids did stuff like that.. it's not that unusual really.

When I was 10 I made a bloody crossbow, and it was hardly the first "weapon" I made, my grandfather helped me make it FFS, it's nothing new, kids have been making things like that for ages.

Stereotypes are often based on true observations. I know me pretty much everyone of my friends throughout my child hood have made make-shift weapons just cause it was fun at the time.

People are overreacting, kids have ALWAYS been attracted to weapons and made their own.
At least this kid has to make his own, a couple of decades ago he would've got a slingshot with metal BB's for his tenth birthday.

Personally, I give this kid props, he's got the ingenuity and know-how to make those kids' weapons. Besides, he'll grow out of it once he hits puberty and realizes he can spend his time kissing girls and not hunting squirrels.

Yeah see I was doing the same thing at that age, and despite outward appearances am a fully functioning and productive member of society. Hell that looks like a more creative use of time to me than spending all day playing video games and I still do that.

I'm 22, I fuckin' am today's youth, and I'm older than the majority of users on this site. You guys are hilarious sometimes.

Because one 12-year-old is the entirety of people under 18.

Actually, this is creative genius. I bet no-one fucks with this kid at school.

It's not just "today's youth" anyway, god knows how you got that idea in your head. The humble slingshot (which most of the weapons here are just simple variations of) has been around for centuries as the weapon of choice for annoying young misfits. Nothing has changed, it's just that back then we didn't have an Internet to be cynical on.

The stabbing weapons he's made are a tiny bit disturbing I suppose, simply by merit of their uselessness for anything but poking people's eyes out...

The projectile ones I can understand... I've never been tempted to shoot anything at anyone, but that never stopped me from messing around with things that go BANG! and fire things rather quickly... Projectile launchers are fun, provided you don't do anything stupid with them.

A lot of the things I've built over the years could be classed as 'weapons' (though I never refer to them as such, as they are never used as weapons), and I've turned out OK...

Sure there might be an issue with kids being too fat, and lacking proper respect, but that isn't too serious.
Also this kid is just being creative, although if that kid ever ends up in juvi/prison be wary of him with a marker in hand.

The thing that disturbs me most I think are the concealable ones. He's obviously put thought into them, and there shouldn't be a reason for a kid to need to make weapons. Maybe we should look into the why instead of just that he has made them?

The distance on these things have to be at best 15 feet. Maybe 20. And that bb gun/blow dart will lose significant power. ALso, those weapons arent really going to kill someone outside of maybe the crossbow. This more just sounds like a good way to piss someone off, and I go by the motto my grandfather developed while he fought in the European Theatre of WW2 as an Army Ranger (which her weirdly learned in German frist, so he could scream it at the Germans). *ahem* *****, you'd better kill me, cause if I get back up, one of us is leaving in a box.

But thats obviously not the point, and yes, you could blind someone or maybe kill them if you hit their neck. But unless you're some kinda trained assassin its going to be rather hard to conceal any of those without someone give the What the Fuck look and taking it.

But honestly, I find this rather sad. Mainly cause this is what kids are doing when they have too much free time and an access to raw materials/the internet. I mean... come on. You're telling me you could put the effort into this, but not into school? But its no worse then half the stuff I've made, and mine are a lot more subtle. So Id ont know. I think this kinda stuff should be stopped, and this kid needs looked into. But if he tries any of that on someone, he'd better have a better back up plan then just running away crying or calling for help.

Lies. Each and every teenager/child has at least attempted to make a weapon out of things we've found in our pencil cases and a rubber band or two.

It's true, I made all sorts of things when I was a teenager, but mostly to see if I could, and nothing I made was a concealable weapon. I made plenty of dart guns out of pens though, so I suppose you could call those concealable, but I only ever shot rolled up paper darts out of them.

its called creativity, dude. the fact is that weapons are pretty cool and fun. just look at the video games the majority of us play. try thinking of ten that dont involve any kind of weaponry, and puzzle/family games dont count.

also, if the world goes all Metro 2033 on us, i think this kid is gonna do just fine lol
