servers? HELP.

i am making a new website for my photography (my old one is http://photomuse.webs.com/)
and i am writing the thing from ground up, cause its free and no limits, but i nee a server, usually i could use my computer, but if i do that then people who go on my site may find a way into my network and into my family's computers.(which i cannot take the chances of)
are there any free websites that can be used as servers or and suggestions for it that aren't websites? help!

Does your ISP allow you to make a website on their servers? Mine does. Then just buy a domain on godaddy.com or similar and redirect traffic.

Make it a blog on a free blog site.

Host it yourself, it's quite safe.

yeah, I don't know how much space google pages gives you, but I use that for our WOW guild site.
