I work at McDonalds. Plain and simple. I run into some jerk costumers on a daily basis. So let me ask you this, is there any other service based Escapists here, and if so what is your worst customer?

Mine was a customer walked up and asked for an ice cream cone. I work in the back making food and I don't know how to ring stuff up. I politly told the man this and he flipped. He said he was going to Dairy Queen and that it was no wonder they hired "retarded children". Ah...

When a customer does that to you, you are hereby entitled and encouraged to sing a little variation on the McDonald's ad jingle:

"Ba da ba ba baaaa, go fuck yourself."

I simply adore the fact that phrase scans into the jingle!

I work at a music shop (mostly sells guitars and basses and such) and someone tried to nick a 100 watt marshall amp in broad daylight. We caught him fairly quickly.

I work for Tesco. Jerk customers outnumber nice customers about 5:1.

Mainly the people who ask where something is and you tell them then they trudge off without saying thanks. Next time they can find it themselves!

 

[Devil's Due]

I worked a month ago for a while in a Candy store. My biggest facepalms were when customers would get a large amount of candy into a bag, walk up to the weight, place it and see how expensive a full bag of candy then. They'd look at me and giggle nervously and walk out the door, forcing me to put back every candy in its correct bin and trust me, these bins are not easy to open up.

Another is when we have specials such as buy four get one free kind of deals with fudge and such, and they'll look at me like I'm some sort of idiot and ask me if I'm trying to rip them off, dead serious looks.

*Sighs* I quit that job a few weeks ago. Glad I did.

Something like this happened to me once when I worked at McDonalds as well. SOme dick came up and told me to hurry up and get him a fuckin icecream. I opened my mouth to protest but he cut me off saying "I don't give a flying fuck what your excuse is". So I got him the icecream and sent him on his way. I wasn't mad or anything, I just thought he's like to know that the delicious looking blue swirl in the icecream was actually grease, the machine was technically out of order. Oh well, alls well that ends well.
