Hm... I don't know about that. I'm a fan of American Dad, and a fading fan of Family Guy... but this might just be a combination of those two. I'm interested, but I'm afraid of it flopping.

This is his real test to make something new. Fam. Guy, Cleve. Show, and American Dad are all funny, but all use cheap, random jokes rather than full on stories and satire. The jokes make me lol, but usually a quick laugh as scenes and situations change.

He's funny, but he has 3 shows that are all pretty much the same thing, if the reboot looks like his current shows, he needs to focus all his attention on his current shows and stop making new ones, or close one and make a new one.

He's funny, but I think he's a one-trick pony funny

The OP literally said everything that needs to be said.

Unfunny show gets a crap reboot from an unfunny person.

Or at least, an occasionally somewhat funny person >.>

Eh... cant make it worse atleast.
I have the horrible nagging suspicion that he'll somehow manage.

And aren't all of his shows pretty much Flintstones knock-offs for adult audiences, anyway? (Okay, I'll be nice: Simpsons knock-offs trying too hard to be "edgy.")

I laugh at McFarlane jokes, till he starts shoving his religious and political views down everyone's throat. Also when he wants to sing...

Edit: The thing is I agree with what he's trying to say. But the the medium and how he says it just makes me hate him. Completely hypocritical, rages against others for doing the same things he does.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I still watch both Family Guy and American Dad regularly (read: every week), and I enjoy them quite a bit. But up until now, Seth MacFarlane has never done a reboot. Sure, he's done parodies, but never a real reboot. It will be interesting to see what direction he takes--whether he tries to stay closer to the style of the source material as far as humor, or if he does a full makeover and switches it out for his "mini-sketch" format.

Also, I sense there will be many crossovers involving time machines and callbacks to his past Flintstones jokes.
