ok, so Im thinking about starting up a web series, about classic games but Im not really sure how to start and what things Ill need, Im thinking some kind of video camera and a screen capture device of some kind. Can anyone give any advice about the best way to start?
Need more details, is it just you talking to a camera about classic games, like a video blog?
I hesitate to give too much info, more of a few guys playing a classic game and showing footage and player reaction sort of thing
If your showing any live action footage of any kind, you will need
-A video camera (a small cannon is just fine),
-An SD memory card (to put the footage on),
-A tripod (so no camera shakiness, that makes it look amateur unless your filming Cloverfield...), you can get them cheap at art stores.
You may also need...
-A memory card reader (if your camera doesn't come with computer hook up)
-Video editing software (Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro)
-A person who knows how to use above mentioned video editing software
-A Youtube account
After all that, it's just point and shoot, there are some other things you can do to spiff up footage, but that would take sound equipment, sound editing software, or somebody with a more advanced knowledge of editing software.
