Setting up Turtle Beach headset PS3

Hi all,
How do i set up my Turtle Beach Ear Force PLa Gaming Headset for PS3 I'm asking because i'm having an issue with the white AV connector trying to get the plug into the input socket because there's a raised plastic piece between the base of the screen and the AV sockets and am not sure how to proceed.Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Will regular RCA cables plug into your TV? You should have several lying around the house. Not that I've been to your house, but everyone seems to have spare RCA/component/composite cables in abundance in a random closet or drawer.

They're just tubes, they come right out of the plastic holders, and they're super cheap.
