Prison setting for a Wii game. Imagine it. Using the Wiimote as a shiv, having the Wiimote vibrate like something that vibrates a lot to emulate the difficult involved in not the soap, having to hide the Wiimote in your anus to stop guards from finding contraband.. There should be more games in a prison setting.

I would like more settings set in harsh winter climate, like the arctic. I know Skyrim just came out but the winter there is so mediocre and has no bearing on gameplay. That is why I liked the Penumbra games, reminded me of The Thing.
I would also like to see more games set in a Renaissance type setting, or even a mix of fantasy/steampunk like Arcanum.

We should have more games set on a sub-atomic level. Where you play a plucky electron out to stop an army of evil neutrons from taking over. Yeah, that could work...
I'd pay good money for a well made WWI FPS, and I'm not even a big fan of FPS games. People say it wouldn't work because just sitting in a trench getting diseases is boring, and yes I agree with that. However, WWII shooters usually put you right into the interesting parts, skipping the boring, and I don't see why a WWI shooter couldn't do the same. And as far as I know, the eastern front was more mobile, so you could have other than trench levels as well. I think it should be more on the realistic end of the spectrum, though.

Not a game but a visual novel, but they are both interactive media so screw it, but Fate/Stay Night. Ancient Greece. A free roaming game set in Athens, Sparta and Corinth. Maybe an Assassin's Creed game after AC3. That would be awesome.
i agree that WW1 is highly unexplored. but this is due to the fact that WW2 was much more exiting and had machinery, that apparently gamers love.
What i wuold really like, and i said it before, is both sides of the front. now we are treated by a LOT of allies side of game story. we need some stories from nazi and soviet fronts too. would really love to play that.
What we also need is at least some openworld games (like gta, saint rows, ect) set into eastern europe. that is very unexplored and intresting side and it would definatelyl be a break between the neverending forest of skyskrapers we get in games now. ofc such city is harder to code i guess.
Also we need more turn based strategy in future. we got WAY TOO MANY such strategy games in past, civilization and the such. however we are lacking a lot of future for them. i understand that creating technology for future woudl be hard to predict and whatnot, but it feels like Alpha centauri was the only one that got that somewhat right. on theo ther hand, we got too many shooters form the future.

OT. A setting I would REALLY love is London! And not stereotype 'Cor Blimey' London but a real London! Rockstar Studios is set up in London! I'm sure they could make a great English game!
We could get back to WW2? I mean, we've had loads of games that came out like a decade ago, but imagine the first Call of Duty or Medal of Honour: Allied Assault with current-gen graphics and gameplay (except for the faster-pased and noobified gameplay introduced after Call of Duty 2.

I'd like to see more of the rise of the British Empire, especially if we could go a hundred years before and see the MASSIVE wars with Holland and Britain taking on Spain/Portugal. Huge time span but there are so many conflicts and so much intrigue, possibly an RPG or an RTS...whatever, the naval combat alone...
