Yeah! I love 1,001 Arabian Nights (Or "A Thousand Nights and a Night" as my copy calls it, somwhat oddly). It's too bad we pretty much just have the Prince of Persia games to fill that niche in the setting department.Ordinaryundone said:Middle-Eastern Fantasy. Genies and flying carpets, all that good Arabian Nights stuff.
That could be scary as shit!imnotparanoid said:What settings do you think should be used in games more?
I think We need more WW1 games, although not necessarily a FPS , A silent hill kinda horror game could be good in the trenches and no mans land, I mean that place is freaky as shit!

Japanese Ace Attorney is set in Japan.ABLb0y said:Modern day Japan. I can only think of two games set there.

Not a game but a visual novel, but they are both interactive media so screw it, but Fate/Stay Night. Takes place entirely in a modern city, with magic, heroes of the past, and 100 hours of intense battles and amazing story.
...Please, do not watch the anime. I beg of you. The visual novel I can link you reviews of, all of which are 10/10, all of which deserving. The anime is a bad bad adaptation of one of the arcs.Yggdraz0r said:http://myanimelist.net/anime/356/Fate/stay_night This?Richardplex said:[

Persona 3 and 4 are some of the more interesting games. Still in a gameplay perspective I find not being able to control the other characters more of a hindrance then it being an immersion breaker if it did.
The anime was badly written, but the underlying story was beautiful. I would love a Fate/Stay Night type game. It would be perfect for hack'n'slash co-op.Richardplex said:...Please, do not watch the anime. I beg of you. Those are three that I would really support. Especially an Ancient Greece game, I don't really care what genre it would be, as long as it gives a proper view of Greek civilization.Adam Jensen said:Ancient Greece. A free roaming game set in Athens, Sparta and Corinth. Maybe an Assassin's Creed game after AC3. That would be awesome.
The underlying story was beautiful because it was trying to be the visual novel. I'd highly recommend you download the visual novel and read/play/however-one-interacts-with-VN's it.wintercoat said:The anime was badly written, but the underlying story was beautiful. Yeah I have played that, it's what made me think ww1 would work well with a scary setting.Foxpack1 said:Look up the war you never knew on youtube.imnotparanoid said:What settings do you think should be used in games more?
