But to top that, the stupidest thing would probably be; to steal some videogames, sell them at a local game-store, getting caught by the police - turning up in their sex-offender registry without a known adress.

This means a known sex-offender was hiding from the law. That's illegal. So let's recap:
Get arrested for statutory rape in 1998. Hide from the police. Steal videogames. Get caught doing that. Get sent to prison for hiding.
