Sexual Preferences

After studying this for a long time I have come to the decision that the terms we use, gay and straight for example, are incorrect. Even with homosexual people there is a lot of different 'degrees' of disgust for the opposite sex. Take homosexual males for example, while most would not have sex with a woman the majority still admires them in some fashion. I have even run into down right 'purge all woman' gay people who still have a thing for breasts, as an example, which just goes to show you that humans are way more complicated then.

This means we really do need to stop using sexual labels and just accept the truth I have been telling people for years: Kinks happen.

See this is the kind of question that leaves people like me with an incomplete explanation of my sexuality. Because in fantasyland, I have very specific preferences (asian guys <3), but in real life, I consider myself pansexual because I don't have any aesthetic preferences when choosing a mate. I'm open to anyone.

Also, sexuality is a sliding spectrum, not a switch.

Straight. No offence to my bisexual/asexual/pansexual friends, especially not the actual bisexual/asexual/pansexual ones that are much rarer than those that claim it, but I tend to use other aspects about me to make myself seem interesting.

Sorry people, I had to report Switchblade.

This use of derogatory terms when addressing the original poster is against the user agreement for posting here. It doesn't matter that he might be correct in his statement, the way he attacked the person is uncalled for. Sorry guys, there is a better way at pointing out the opening post is a load of shit without claiming the person writing it is also retarded and should be shunned for daring to have an opinion.

PS:
Anyone else notice so many people just popping in and posting their sexual orientation and not addressing the topic at hand?

I would probably be a lot less conflicted, instead of trying stupidly to force attraction where there is none for me.

Yeah, pretty much that.

I am personally heterosexual, but I do have a rather strange fetish that I will keep to myself for all of you guy's sake.

I am attracted to men with great hair and great chests. :3
Having both makes me very happy.

So, I'm straight, I guess.

Oh, yes, indeed. Please explain how one's sexual orientation has nothing to do with sexual orientation and instead describes emotional attachment so that my points may be flawed in that they contradict this statement. I'm waiting.

Without bringing in a single word about love, emotion, etc. What do you feel your sexual orientation is, based ONLY on what you like in terms of sex?
Well I'm a virgin, so I can't speak from experience, but if you asking from a purely physiological view, I'd wager that most people are pansexual (just because you don't like having another guy's junk up your trunk doesn't mean you can't be anally stimulated from a purely physical perspective). If you mean "Just without the social/personal side of our emotions", so it is purely a sex-based preference (I'm assuming that is what you meant), then I'm going with asexual, because genitals are funny-looking and I don't want to stick, or be stuck by, anyone. Also, breasts are weird.

However, that is not to say that I can't find people physically attractive, it is just an aesthetic preference, rather than a sexual one (I can think a girl/guy looks smoking hot/cute/endearing/beautiful/etc, but that doesn't make me want to have sex with them, they are just nice to look at).

Without any emotions, love, etc. what really defines someone as a Lesbian instead of Bisexual, or a heterosexual from someone who's gay when talking strictly sex? In its most basic definition, does the sexual preference of a gay man imply that he doesn't like vaginal intercourse, or that a heterosexual female strictly only likes said intercourse an no other forms?
You're wondering if the physical stimuli of the penis during vaginal intercourse would be pleasurable for a gay man? Yes, yes it would, assuming he managed to get a hard-on, which means he's either taken/been given viagra or doesn't know he's with a woman. If he knew he was with a woman though he'd probably feel disgusted with himself afterwards, much like a heterosexual man would after intercourse with another man; and I believe this is where emotions and such come into play.

Well, like I tell anyone it's relevant to, it's not who you do, it's why.

For example, a gay-for-pay male porn star, sure, he can have sex with other guys, does it necessarily make him gay? No, because he's not sexually attracted to his co-stars.

A virgin can be very aware of who they are attracted to, even without doing the deed.

A lesbian woman who gets raped by a man, does that make her bi? Nope, she's not attracted to men.

Some university student is bi-curious, so they mess around with the sex for a bit, realizes they're just not feeling it, just because they had sex with men, and women, does that make them bisexual? Nope because of a lack of attraction.

This is the why in my first sentence up there.

I believe you're wrong on your first line there, sexual orientation is about who you're sexually/romantically attracted to, at least that's how the general populace sees it, and that's how it's used in our vernacular. Although, there are people who can be sexually hetero, and romantically bi/pan, or any combo thereof.

But my sexual orientation without bringing in the mushy good stuff? Still pansexual.

Captcha: "would affigire" But I just met her!

Buy yeah, I wasn't* even entirely sure of how to word the original post when I made it, but it was similar to the idea you made in your first post

I prefer to have sex with females, but I prefer to have close aspiring friendships with males. Sort of an Ancient Greek philosophy of having lovers of either sex, but definitely putting it in the female.

Actually, next time people ask me my sexuality, I think I'll say that. "Oh, I'm a totally straight flaming Greek."

I'm a dude, and if we're just talking about sex I have a strong preference toward guys, but also like women. Maybe it's because I find both sexes about equally attractive, and it seems like a no brainer to me that since I find both sexes physically attractive I'll go with the one that has no chance of getting pregnant.
