You're better of getting the Sega or Snes version instead if you want to play Shadowrun.
This Win/Xbox-Shadowrun isn't at all very entertaining.

I disagree and say for £1 pick it up.

I think it really is a decent game which is quite different to most other run of the mill online fps's

Yes, it has some interesting ideas.

From Shadowrun viewpoint;
This is only Shadowrun in name, not in game.

From gameplay;
It's just... Boring o_o..
It has been done before and better.
But if it looks intersting, then I say buy it. I mean, $1 isn't a lot at all ^_^
So it's better to buy it and make up his/hers/theirs own mind, but in my opinion;
Meh.

I can say without a doubt that Shadowrun is one of the most fun and compelling FPS' I've played in a long time.

It's getting on a bit now, but it's still out there doing things it's own way and being damn good for it.

I so badly wish there was a sequel.

I don't quiet agree.
I thought it was just slightly around average. There are soo much funnier ones.
Like the Mod for Half-Life 1 called Natural Selection for example.

Shadowrun on PC is basically just Counter-Strike with some bonus stuff.
I'd rather play the Snes / Megadrive version instead

I hated Counterstrike, it bored me and felt unfinished.

I don't own Half Life one and don't ever plan to.

When I first played Shadowrun I was amazed that a game I had heard nothing about and seemingly came out of nowhere could deliver such an addicting online experience.

It wasn't trying to be funny or serious, it was just in the middle.

Everything about it felt amazing, from the balancing of tech and magic to the strengths of the different races.

Teleporting katana elves FTW...

Yeah I used to own the 360 version but I plan to buy both the 360 and PC version soon so I can try them out.

I've never liked Counter-Strike either, but that's just what Shadowrun on Xbox/Pc is.
It's CS with bonus stuff really.

I don't see it... Counterstrike was a realistic shooter using the Source engine.

Shadowrun was a Fantasy Cyberpunk shooter using it's own game engine... they felt nothing alike.

You'd be better off ramming pencils into your brain. That game was pure abuse, that just pissed all over the franchise. I know this sounds all fanboi-ish, but that's what happens when you take a brilliant IP based around dark, gritty cyberpunk world, filled with betrayal and cynicism and a pretty serious dose of conspiracy theorist and pour idiotic COD-wannabe badly done whiz-bang-shooty brain-dead action all over it.

I suppose I have to admit that it wasn't actually a BAD shooter. If they'd put anything OTHER than the Shadowrun branding on it, I probably would have enjoyed it. But as a long-time Shadowrun (the real one, not this BS) player - it's just inspired a total hatred.
