[HEADING=1]Shadowrun[/HEADING]

The year is 2058.

Magic has returned to the earth after an absence of many thousands of years. What the Mayan calendar called the Fifth World has given way to the Sixth, a new cycle of magic. An Awakened age.

The Sixth World is a far cry from the mundane environment of the Fifth. It is exotic and strange, a paradoxical blend of the scientific and the arcane. The advance of technology has reached a feverish pace. The distinction between man and machine is becoming blurred by the advent of direct neural interfacing. Cyberware. Machine and computer implants are commonplace, making metal of flesh, pulsing electrons into neurons at the speed of thought.

The rising magic has caused archaic races to re-emerge, transformed from human form as the rising magic activated their DNA. Elves and dwarves, orks and trolls. Even the most ancient and intelligent of beings, the great dragons, have come out of their long hiding. Only a few of these creatures are known to exist, and most of them have chosen a life of isolation and secrecy. But some, able to assume human form, have integrated themselves into the affairs of metahumanity. They have used their ancient intellect, their powerful magic, and their innate cunning to ascend to positions of power.

The Matrix has emerged out of the ashes of the old global computer network. A virtual world of computer-generated reality has emerged, a universe of electrons and CPU cycles controlled and manipulated by those with the fastest cyberdecks, with the hottest new code.

It is an era where information is power, where data and money are one and the same. Multinational megacorporations have replaced superpower governments as the true forces on the planet. A world where cities have grown into huge sprawls of concrete and steel, walled-off corporate enclaves and massive arcologies. The megacorps exploit masses of wageslaves for the profit of a lucky and ruthless few.

But in the shadows of the mammoth corporate arcologies, live the SINless. Those without System Identification Numbers are not recognized by the machinery of society, by the bureaucracy that has grown so massive and complex that nobody understands it completely. Among the SINless are the shadowrunners, traffickers in stolen data and hot information, mercenaries of the street - discreet, effective, and untraceable.

[b/]Name and/or Alias[/b]: Scarlet Fever (Real name: Alatariel Coamenel)

[b/]Age & Gender[/b]: Mid-Twenties (exact age unknown) and Female

[b/]Race[/b]: Elf

[b/]Height & Weight[/b]: 5ft, 9in and 145 lbs

[b/]Type[/b]: Mystic Adept Huntress

[b/]Appearance[/b]: Scarlet takes great pride in her appearance; both her virtual one and her physical one. While few see her real appearance very often, she maintains herself with pride. Her hair is long and golden blonde kept straight and in good shape at all times. Her eyes are blue-green and just the right size for her face. She dresses with the latest fashions whenever possible, though wears her "armor" when running. Her skin is slightly tanned.

When running, she maintains a phantasmal illusion spell around her at all times to change her appearance to her stage face. There, her eyes are emerald green and her hair is scarlet. The illusion makes her skin appear unblemished white as though she were a walking Photoshopped model. She wears a custom set of green armor meant to look like what most meta-humans think elves wear; offering moderate protection and maximum maneuverability.

[b/]History[/b]: Scarlet was born Alatariel Coamenel to a couple living in the city of Cara'Sir (formerly Portland, Oregon) following the rise of the elven state. Her parents were political dissidents, dumped into the walled city following their release from incarceration. They met at her fathers "diet restaurant" (a special kind of restaurant in the city which serves illusionary food - all the taste with none of the calories or guilt). Her mother was an illusion mage of little skill, but she worked the kitchens. Her father ran the business side; knowing how to keep people entertained and busy. The two had little in their lives save each other. In the end, they had a single child which was more than they expected.

Alatariel grew up helping her parents in the restaurant; learning what few illusions and detection magics her mother knew and learning the art of socializing with people from her father. They expected she would one day take over the restaurant since proper schooling was beyond their means. Unfortunately, Alatariel had her head in the clouds from a young age. She didn't want to own some restaurant; she wanted to make it big and star in the trids and sims. She wanted fame and fortune.

She remained in the restaurant, doing her part, until she turned 18. In a moment of freedom. she traveled south to the PCC and the city of lost angels in hopes of making it big in Horizon. Needless to say, she was on of thousands and she had little but her magic and people skills to rely on. This proved insufficient and she scored only the most minor of bit parts. That is, until she met Mr. Thompson. Mr. Thompson, recognizing the potential in her, took her under his wing, promising stardom - but not in the way she expected. He wanted her to become a Shadowrunner star - someone who runs with camera's on her tail, recording everything for the massive crowd of people obsessed with watching such criminal lives.

But, before he could make this happen, she needed to learn. He assigned her a trainer in the martial arts; specifically the elven sort. She was to be exactly what the people expected; a pretty elven face killing people from obscene distances with arrows and magic. Alatariel, with little else open to her, took the job.

Eventually, she made her debut as "Scarlet Fever" and has been running the Seattle streets ever since. She's accumulated a fair pool of resources due to her Horizon contract, but much of it has gone back to her parents, who don't know what she's really doing.

[b/]Reason to be here/things to do[/b]: Scarlet lives in the shadows for the glory more than the money (though the money is certainly nice)

[b/]Personality[/b]: Scarlet's stage personality is extremely bubbly; playing to her character to the best of her ability. In reality, she's one of the more intelligent people you'll encounter at least as far as cunning and people skills go. A master actor, she knows just how to twist the way people think to give her an edge. While she's not particularly book-smart, she's as intelligent as any runner when it comes to street knowledge though, as said before, she rarely shows it. She tends to be somewhat conceited with an overlarge ego, but, when it counts, her heart's in the right place.

[b/]Notable skills[/b]: Scarlet's skills fall into one of three categories: her elven survivalist training, her people skills, and her mystic training.

Scarlet's trained for years in the art of survival. She knows how to be stealthy in the extreme in any environment, track nearly any prey over long distances, physically search areas with a glance, and - most importantly - shoot an arrow through a man's chest from 50 yards; and that's before the magic.

Speaking of magic, Scarlet's a shamanistic mystic adept of decent skill. Unlike most of her brood, she knows mostly detection and illusion spells. Specifically, spells to enhance her vision and hearing and illusions powerful enough to bend light. Her Adept talents are similar - focusing on enhancing her vision, hearing and skill set (particularly her bow). Finally, she's made a pact with a single, small summon; a Nature Spirit named "Pigeon". Pigeon takes the form of a number of different birds and acts as the "comic relief" in her broadcasts; often calling out terrible jokes and insults to "lighten the mood" when necessary. His combat skills are understandably minimal and his maximum range is little further than that of her bow. (100 yards with magic)

On her personal skills; Scarlet is an actress at heart. She knows how to read people, bluff her way out of odd situations, intimidate with the best of them, and smooth talk like a master. She's quick to use what people want against them; promising them the moon to get what she wants then leaving them with the bag. She also has a talent for coming up with the names of her "next big hit." They are, universally, rejected as exceedingly stupid.

She speaks English, the Elven tongue, Japanese, and the local Native American dialects. She can drive a vehicle, though no better than the average Joe (She could get a license if she wanted)

[b/]Equipment[/b]: In terms of personal equipment, Scarlet owns a black Mirage motorcycle (OOC: think a Kawasaki Ninja) which she's fairly skilled with. She has a high end comm-link, though she has little skill with it aside from speaking through it with others and running her camera drones. Speaking of said drones, she has 5 Eye-Spy micro-drones which hover around and the battlefields/mission areas capturing footage for her trideos.

She owns a large selection of fashionable clothes, though on missions she uses custom armor designed to appear "sexy-elven" while offering not insubstantial protection and mobility. While hardly full armor, it's usually enough to catch a few rounds in a pinch. She carries a high end recurve compound bow; matched to her strength. She also carries a pair of hard knives in the event people get too close.

Off her person, she has a high end apartment in the north of Seattle.

[b/]Contacts[/b]:
Mr. Thompson - "Talent" Agent Extraordinaire: Scarlet's first contact is as much a talent agent as he is a competent fixer. He knows better than most how to get people to act the way he wants them to and always keeps an ear to the ground. Always on the look out for new "faces" for his company, Mr. Thompson knows who to contact for the interesting jobs. Since his boys and girls (and everything in-between) all have a running contract with Horizon, they can do certain jobs cheaper than other runners would. It of course comes with some unwanted press, but since all Johnsons are assured no unaltered footage of them exist, it's yet to become a problem.

Larry Wilcox - Editor: Larry Wilcox may not be a master hacker or technomancer, but he's loyal to a fault and knows his way around the legal side of the Matrix. Larry acts as the prime editor for all of Scarlet's footage and takes a cut from all of Mr. Thompson's clients. Though he remains a freelancer, he only takes jobs from Mr. Thompson these days and therefore may as well. A hopeless romantic, he's always looking to "score" with one of the many trideo stars he edits for; thus far with significantly less success than he'd like.

[b/]Other[/b]:

And Finished.

yeah I need to ask a question due to the wiki's severely lack in information when it comes to pixies/faries which is what I want my characters race to be. Can pixies change size...in the sense that I'm asking can they be allowed to or would my character need to stay a half meter tall throughout the whole RP?

@AgDr_ODST: If you want to be a different size, why not just use an elf with some sort of jetpack/hoverboard?

@Asclepion: never mind my queries about size change. When I expressed interest in the class before I didn't have much information. Hiei82 has provided me with some...apparently they're either not very technologically inclined or not able to use it because of their size. I may now have to either pick another race or bow out of the RP. I'll get back to you ASAP

@AgDr_ODST: I look forward to seeing it. In the meantime:

@Enlightened_Envy: You mention cyberware, but don't list in the sheet what augmentations he actually has. I would want to see the extent of his cyberware. Also,

Sure, but realize that either of which can be lethal to you in Shadowrun.

What are you looking to build? I might be able to find a race for you.

Also, everything in those rules are just guidelines; they aren't true for every individual.

@Asclepion: So, I'm thinking of making a runt-sized, French Pixie that likes flying around in a modified drone, uses his magic like a form of golemancy, and has a slight drinking problem. Would you be willing to consider a sheet like that, or should I go back to the drawing board?

@EmperorZuma: I would certainly be willing to. A fairy technomancer piloting a drone from within could be a cool character idea.

I was thinking of a having a nocturnal middle-eastern pixie who uses her small size to zip around the city as a courier(legally) but when she's not doing that she could be a spy for hire who will steal/incriminate/photograph/eavesdrop for whoever can pay for her services.

@All: I would want to limit the number of them, as they're apparently rare.

@avouleance2nd: From what I saw, they aren't a race so much as individuals who have been physically altered.

I've got a character concept
It's not a core part of their character but how much info do you have on the Changeling race?
I'll get back to you with the character soon either way.
Are you talking about Changelings from mythology (i.e. the replacements for people taken by fey) or changelings from the Shadowrun universe (i.e. humans with animal characteristics)?

Name and/or Alias: Riley
Age & Gender: 22; Male
Race: Human
Height & Weight: 4'10"; 102lbs.
Type: Adept Gunslinger

Appearance: A thick, brown, and messy crop of hair covers his head, though he manages it well enough to prevent it from becoming a nuisance. He has a small, narrow frame with an athletic build and light muscle definition. As for clothing, he's usually seen wearing a form-fitting t-shirt, sometimes with a faded logo of some obscure band, but usually plain, and a pair of dark blue denim pants. On his hands, he wears a pair of black, fingerless leather gloves which he is almost never seen without, same as his black, reinforced, bulletproof leather jacket. Another thing he is never without is his pair of goggles which have been heavily modified to scan people and items of interest with the lenses displaying specifications on a HUD (only visible inside the lenses), greatly increasing his situational awareness, and comes with a built-in magnification function. On his feet are a pair of black running shoes with specially-compounded soles that give him extra bounce for increased agility.

History: Riley was an orphan almost since birth. It didn't do much good for his childhood that the orphanage he spent his early years in was really just a small, run-down apartment full of kids and little-to-no adult supervision. Growing up in the slums hadn't provided him with the best set of values, always having been a liar and a thief, and being damned good at it too. Throughout his childhood, the boy grew up with an unruly group of tramps, generally having to scrap and steal for their next meal. There were times when he found himself at a disadvantage, for he was always a bit of a runt and was easily overpowered by the bigger kids, but there were times when his stature proved to be advantageous. His size made him light on his feet, allowing him to outrun most other kids, but he discovered something about himself when he found he could outrun those that should've been as fast as he was. It was as if he had found a way to will himself to run faster, like there was some dial within him that he could crank to incredible levels. It wasn't just running either, he discovered he could climb faster, traverse alleyways with leaping bounds - it was like his adrenal glands became voluminous reservoirs he could tap into whenever he so desired.

In Riley's mid-adolescence, he had nearly perfected his abilities which he used to best the best of thieves and couriers. Needless to say, this attracted much unwanted attention and it was soon made apparent that he needed some way to protect himself. Procuring a defensive weapon did not prove difficult, he managed to pocket a Colt Asp and a box of ammo right from underneath the clerk's nose, and so began his self-training in the art of Gun Fu, as he'd heard it referred to. He started spending more time inside, learning the ins and outs of his prize pistol and getting creative with different methods of drawing, loading, and holstering. In a matter of days, he knew the gun better than most would with years of experience. However, he knew he couldn't just start unloading bullets into whomever became a threat so he plucked himself a butterfly knife for a less conspicuous line of defense.

Settling in an abandoned apartment, far from his 'home', he was left to think about what may lie ahead in his future. He knew the usefulness of his skill, he knew that they could be used for more than just 'getting by' - the only obstacle he could see was being introduced into the unforgiving world of contract killing. He figured there'd be no easier way than by putting his skills on display for the world to see. Finding the absolute worst cesspit of gambling, sex, and drugs, he set up a simple Cup Game stand using five plastic cups, two ball bearings, and a cardboard box. It was nothing new, such things have been done billions of times over, but what people came to see was an unaugmented human with so deft of hands, shifting and sliding the cups at such blinding speeds as he was.

Some local club owner, an Elf by the name of Ewa Kozyra, heard of this kid with hands quicker than a bullet and saw for himself just how true that claim proved to be. Quite impressed, Ewa offered Riley a job as a sort of tax collector, picking money and valuables off those who tipped lightly or just appeared to have an overbearing pocketbook. Months into his 'career', Riley was given an opportunity to take a more dangerous position on Ewa's roster which meant a lot more money; an offer Riley had no intention of turning down. There was even potential for word of his prowess to get around, and perhaps employment opportunities may present themselves as a result.

Reason to be here/things to do: To earn a life for himself that he hadn't the opportunity to do before, which meant having to make quite a lot of money.

Personality: Riley can be quite cocky at times, but he never lets his attitude affect his work. A loud, foul-mouth who's always quick to make a joke and usually has something to say about anything. He won't give a shit if you didn't want his two cents, he'll give them regardless. He constantly feels the need to test his own abilities to their fullest, but he knows his limits as they stand and isn't stupid enough to push them too far. Or at least hasn't been in a position which would call for it.

Notable skills: In combat, he has speed unlike anything seen before, being able to unload a full cylinder into enemies and reload in a matter of seconds. His speed isn't just with guns; on his feet, he's fast as the wind and his hands alone can be as fast as greased lightning, having the prestidigitation to outmaneuver most machines. He's a natural-born liar and quite the smooth talker when he needs to be, and his quickness in his wit only enhances his abilities all the more. He's a master in the art of Gun Fu and is not at all afraid to let it be known. He also has basic knowledge of computers and vehicles, along with minor experience in explosives, primarily knowing how to handle them and how to make them go boom.

Equipment: Aside from his goggles, enhanced running shoes, and armored jacket (as listed in Appearance), he keeps with him his trusty Colt Asp and butterfly knife holstered to his left hip (both shown in History) along with a more recently acquired Remington Roomsweeper in a sling on his back, mostly concealed by his backpack. He keeps his ammunition (.357 Magnum cartridges with hollow-point rounds for Colt, 12 ga. armor-piercing slugs and double-aught buckshot for Remington) in various pouches and within the webbing of his messenger backpack. Within his pack, he also carries around a lockpicking kit, a datapad with advanced security encryption (should it ever be 'misplaced'), a firearm maintainance and cleaning kit, blade sharpening kit, and a couple extra sets of clothes.

Contacts:
Ewa Kozyra (Elf) - Owner of The Fen of Fire, a nightclub in one of the more dangerous parts of town. A harsh and ruthless businessman, will go to extreme lengths to ensure that he has his way. Riley's current employer and main source of income.

Karol Reeds (Elf) - Ewa's personal assistant, tech specialist, and hacker. Spending most of her time at a desk and behind a wall of computer moniters, she manages nearly all aspects of Ewa's legitimate and illicit business. Riley's go-to girl for assistance getting into secured systems through his comms (when manual hacking is required) and datapad (for every other instance, when jacking into a network and letting Karol work her magic through it is easier).

Reuben Gaff (Orc) - Ewa's personal arms dealer, does most of his dealings in Black Market arms. He keeps Riley supplied with munitions, as per Ewa's request, and is always willing to cut Riley a good deal for weapons that his employers budget won't cover.

Russel Kibisiac (Human) - An old friend, at least the closest thing to a friend, of Riley's from his youth. A man struggling with a chem addiction that he's been trying to ween himself off from since meeting up with Riley. Assists him (for a small fee) with the occasional bounty, usually with tailing from another angle, diversions, and just about any other way he can be useful.

Augustus "Gus" Weyler (believed to be an alias, race is unknown) - An informant, private investigator, and overly paranoid (for good reason), fast-talking well of information. Currently Riley's occasionally a source of dirt and other info on high value targets. There is very little that Riley, or anyone else for that matter knows about him - Riley has yet to even see him in person.

Danyel Goodhart (Elf) - Operator of Ewa's own chopshop and highly skilled mechanic. Don't let her name fool you, she's cold-blooded and won't hesitate to put a bullet through you if you become a threat to her or her employer's business. Occasionally allows Riley to use the shanty living quarters in the back as a temporary safehouse for when he needs to lay low for a while.

Mickey Magri (Human) - Ewa's drug, arms, and assorted contraband runner. A speed-demon at heart, pilots his heavily modified 2056 Benson Rampage. He's always happy to give Riley a lift or act as his getaway driver whenever he has the time for it. Keeps his craft locked up in the chop shop owned by Danyel, whom he mostly works with.

Other: Riley doesn't take too kindly to being ridiculed for his stature and is generally quick to prove the offender wrong to judge him for it. Although he has a tough exterior, he has a soft spot for a good meal and a pretty face. It wouldn't surprise him if he'd made an enemy out of a few people, so it's likely there are some who wouldn't be opposed to have him taken out of the picture.
Any and all criticism is welcome.

Name and/or Alias: Louis Joubert (aka the Marquis)
Age & Gender: 25, Male
Race: Pixie
Height & Weight: 9 inches, 6 lbs.
Type: Conjuring Shaman

Appearance: With slate grey skin and silvery hair, Louis' body is quite accustomed to his urban surroundings. However, his eyes are vibrant emerald, finding a way to almost sparkle in the light. His wings take on the same effect. His clothes are mostly rags, whatever he can scrounge together to make an outfit.

History: Born in Brittany, France, tiny Louis came into the world already hating the place he had in it. His family either concerned themselves with busy-work jobs, converting everyday items to their size, or magical studies. The latter was how Louis kept himself from going mad with boredom, but a trip out of the Wood opened his eyes and taught him that he would never be satisfied at home. So, with after a day of farewells, well-wishes, and a gift from his father that was actually useful, Louis set off.

Initially, he tried the honest work, but being so small even a dwarf was liable to step on you didn't help with being noticed. However, not being noticeable did help him in another line of work, so Louis tried his hand at more underhanded plays. Small-scale at first, but after a while his actions caught the attention of a local group of shadowrunners, the Bourbons, who offered Louis good pay for his stealthy work. What came after were a few great runs, where Louis, now Marquis', quick flying and ability to be beneath notice became a great asset to the team. At the same time, Marquis honed his magical ability, as another mage in the group saw he had potential.

However, there came a run where everything went south. What first appeared to be a smooth entry into a corp's HQ became a walk into a death trap. The team was mowed down by drones that came out of nowhere, and the attempt to flee was met by a chase through the streets that finished off the rest of the team...or so the teammate that betrayed them believed. Marquis was able to escape, and in trying to meet up with the survivors, found that the team's Decker, Viral, had made a lucrative deal to leave the rest of the team out to dry. Marquis so desperately wanted to take revenge right then and there, but was out of energy and badly wounded. While he spent his time recuperating, Viral fled.

Once he healed, Marquis had surprising vision from Astral Space: his former teammates. They were pissed to be death, but glad that Marquis survived, and was in the perfect position to get revenge. So, then and there, they made a pact to "help" Marquis for as long as he stayed on the path of finding Viral and paying him back for the betrayal. So far, Marquis has held up his side of the deal.

Reason to be here/things to do: What was initially a joy ride through the underbelly of the Sixth World has become a quest for revenge, but Marquis needs a lot more resources in order to get the job done. So, he continues to run in the shadows.

Personality: Quick-witted, excitable, and, for lack of a better word, hyper, Louis wants to see this big-wide world and doesn't like to waste time. However, past events have tempered this somewhat, and now Louis knows when to take a breath. He also likes to take up the drink a little to often, soon degenerating into a slurring, surly pixie when he's had too much. Regardless, he has sympathy for the dead (or, more specifically, spirits of the dead), and dislikes forcibly binding without a set contract or some other sort of agreement

Notable skills: In Louis' time shadowrunning, he has learned to hone his natural ability, magical potential, and drone-piloting.

In his short time of flying the Chariot, Louis has became quite good and maneuvering the drone into tight spaces, like large air ducts and the like. He also can pull off stunts that most of the computer-controlled drones won't ever think to pull, allowing him to pull into just the right spots to flank the enemy or otherwise catch the off guard.

Along with that is his natural-pixie talent of stealth. Blending into his environment, not to mention being less than a foot tall, Louis can slip into/out of places not one else can. He knows how to use this to his advantage when he's out of his drone and can't use his magic to get out of a brawl.

Speaking of magic, Louis uses his in a unique, blended sort of way. He uses his shamanistic powers to detect and manifest spirits, but at the same time, he uses a spell that gives the spirit a hulk of some sort to possess, like a suit of armor. This allows him to create "golems" of a sort, and provides him with allies to fight with/for him in a pinch. This also helps him get around the tougher task of binding powerful elemental spirits to use in combat, as the golems, while certainly weaker, can hold their own and are usually inhabited with spirits that Louis can work with. Along with this come a sort of "emergency spell", a magic that Louis can cast when utterly out of options. This spell, Shell, basically pulls whatever's nearby to surround Louis, basically creating a pseudo-golem that Louis controls himself. While it has offensive/defensive potential (depending on what's around), Louis mainly uses it as a last resort to blast away his attackers and quickly escape.

Equipment: Because of his size, Louis' equipment is all contained on his modified drone, the Chariot. Onboard, he has a comm system, a machine gun fitted with small-caliber ammo, a holographic projector, and cup holders! The price of this is the fact that the drone is no longer really a "drone". As the computerized controls were removed in favor of a cockpit.

Along with that is a magical focus, a "totem" of sorts, carved from the woods of his home. It doesn't really allow him to do something special, but does help with his endurance while using his magic.

Contacts:

Madame Loti: The owner of the Sand Pearl, Madame Loti uses her bar as a front for an underground shop with a supply made to sell to shadowrunners and other less-than-legal elements. She has made a good business out of running the safehouse/shop and comes across a lot of material from her "shopkeepers" and information from her "tenants". Louis considers her a friend, but gets miffed when she cuts him off at the bar.

Mister Tinker: A technomancer who spends all day either rigging a drone or messing around in the Matrix, Louis was directed to the former shadowrunner by Madame Loti, as she saw he was in need of some tech if he wanted to survive in the shadows. As she expected, Tinker came through, creating Louis' Chariot and outfitting it with all the bits and pieces Louis would need, but couldn't use because of his size. Louis is now Tinker's permanent customer, with the added bonus of being privy to the info Tinker's old sprites dig up from corporate files.

After looking at all these excellent sheets I'm afraid I'm going to have to bow out, I just dont have the knowledge and imagination for a deeply fantasy based story such as this....I can't even come up with a paragraph much less four or five for my pixie characters history.

Haven't had a whole lot of experience with Shadowrun personally, but I have been on a bit of a cyberpunk bender as of late, and mixing in some magic might make for a fun time...

You mention that you might be open to an AI character. Would an E-Ghost (or an AI that thinks it's an E-Ghost) be acceptable?

Name and/or Alias: Adam Guysome, known by the handle 'Spector'.

Age & Gender: Male, 26

Race: Human

Height & Weight: 140 lb, Six foot even.

Type: 'Hardcore' Decker (Basically, super-specialized into that set of skills almost completely)

Appearance: Adam is a very lanky, very rail-like man in the world outside the Matrix. That's not to say he's ugly, he's got soft and short black hair with alluring brown eyes, giving him a boyish charm. Despite his facial charm, he's not exactly muscular, due to his extended time not in the real world. The good news is he inherited a light farmer's tan from his parents, so he isn't pale as death.

Inside the Matrix, he takes two forms. 'Spector', his primary alias, sports a trench coat strapped with an oversized sniper rifle and two machetes. It looks absolutely ridiculous, and he plays up the ham for all it's worth. 'Spector' has a very angular face and facial hair that makes him look like a cartoon villain, furthering the silly image.

When it comes to business time, or he feels Spector isn't appropriate for the situation, he turns to a form closer to his real one. Instead of a trench coat and silly armaments, he appears dressed in a simple black suit with a red tie stylized like a dragon. At his side is the SMG he carries in the real world.

History: Adam was brought into the Guysome family just like most other humans. He lived in a rather affluent neighborhood, with the Guysome's operating a number of businesses that made sure they never had to worry about currency. Still, such an easy life made Adam somewhat...reckless. He was an only child in this particular branch of the family tree, so to say Adam was spoiled would not be totally inaccurate. He very quickly learned that being a brat was not how you got your way however, and with the help of the family's tutors he became the rich prince he was supposed to be.

But boys will be boys, and he got into some...stuff. Some guys from the academy he attended were going to get tattoos, some gang related and some for fun, but along the way they got it into their heads that they'd pick up some cyberware. Nothing crazy, just a datajack. And ear implants. And arms.

Adam watched with his shiny new datajack, and over the next few months his friends become addicted to augmentation. The good news is, the rich neighborhood ensured that the doctors knew what they were doing, so fatal accidents never happened. The bad news was the rich neighborhood ensured that the doctors knew what they were doing, so fatal accidents never happened, meaning that his friends ever realized when enough was enough.

Well, whatever. Maria, Daniel and Levi were keeping themselves restrained, so if the others wanted to zombify themselves then fuck'em. Maria was the girl of his dreams, a girl-next-door with an adorable pixie-cut. They spent many a night in the Matrix exploring the servers and programs inside, almost as much as they spent exploring each other. Daniel was his friend for as long as he could remember, helpful when you consider he was Maria's older brother. He was a tough son of a *****, getting some reinforcement for his right arm and some telescopic augments for his eyes. Levi was much more mild, in his choice of augments and personally. Not being related to ether boy, He was the medium between Daniel's stoicism and Adam's excitable nature. He got augments to his throat, being able to imitate any voice and, more importantly, sing beautifully.

...And zombify themselves they did. With the neighborhood's lazy families funding any kind of initiative in the kids, some of his colleges decided to become cyberzombies. This turned out to be the community downfall, when one of the kids' families took a turn for the financial worst after the operation. Not being able to afford the associated treatments, the kid went berserk and attacked Maria. He wounded her greatly with his augmented body, and she would require heavy augments to keep on living. After being able to transfer her to the Matrix briefly for one last conversation, Maria said that she would never be happy living like the creature that killed her. Respecting her last wishes, he let her go, knowing that she'd want him to move on.

After the kid managed to get other cyberzombies to riot, Renraku came in to clean up their hardware. But they couldn't let the bad PR leak, so...that was the end of the community. As far as Adam knows, Daniel is the only one left alive, having escaped with him.

Now, they share a apartment in Seattle, pricking in enough money to get by and then some. Adam's never-ending desire to make friends as well as his ridiculous Matrix Persona got him some attention, and soon the rich orphan became one hell of a decker, throwing basically his entire life into his new online career.

Reason to be here/things to do: Money is the driving goal, but he runs in the Matrix primarily because it's more fun than the real world. He'd never mention it to anyone, but he wants to one day retire, with a family in sights. Short term, he'd like some high-end cyber-eyes.

Personality: Adam is very excitable, which is hilarious when in his 'Spector' persona. He's very confidant and sarcastic, expecting his friends to shoot friendly insults at him as easy as he does. Maria's death shook him however, and women have a habit of making him insecure and...unpredictable.

Notable skills: Adam is very skilled at hacking and Matrix-based work. Expertly weaving control of programs and managing onboard systems, he's a very effective information gatherer despite his...easygoing personality.

Equipment: Daddy's Shiny Cyberdeck he bought him, kitted out with high end programs to make his boy's life easier. A high-quality Datajack has been implanted on his body.

Contacts: Daniel Jameson, Street Samurai- Daniel accompanies Adam some times as a type of bodyguard, but otherwise they move in different circles and rarely see each other, despite sharing an apartment.

Other: Adam has a major weakness to women of even moderate attractiveness, often catering to them to the point of white-knighting. He's a good guy, but he got really fucked up by his past.

Long time no see, Hiei. It's been a while since our last Lovecraftian adventure, eh? XD

@Enlightened _Envy: Accepted.

@Mortis Nuncius: Welcome back

Mortis Nuncius said:
On his hands, he wears a pair of black, fingerless leather gloves (he had to cut holes in the sides to make room for his extra thumbs) which he is almost never seen without,
So he has multi-thumbed hands? I assumed this was some augmentation, but I didn't see it listed. Am I understanding?

@EmperorZuma: Excellent character.

@Pappytech: Yes.

@Spector29: Approved.
